When it comes to Yeh Rishta during Naitik Akshara days, I am quite sensitive. The audacity to draw comparisons with Naitik Singhania and his family. Even back then, Yeh Rishta's rise to fame stemmed from the fact that, for the first time on television, they presented a family that loved their daughter-in-law, there was no vamp plotting against her. To compare Singhanias to a family full of criminals who abused their daughter-in-law repeatedly at home takes certain level of chutzpah.
Why would Akshara force herself on Kaveri Singhania? Her partner left his house because she was ousted, and they raised their children together away from her in laws for several years. Naitik, like a decent man, chose to support his wife over his family and left the house with her. Angad has never even treated Sahiba as a part of his family. When did Sahiba compel Brars to accept her? After she left them for 7 years, they returned, took her child, and imprisoned her for their crimes. Do not compare Yeh Rishta to this; despite the fact that the third generation is incredibly regressive, the guy still searched for his wife and showed concern for her life, did not treat her as a surrogate. Women are not allowed to work by Brars. The husband has often thrown her out of the house, and subjected her to sexual and physical assault, struck her because his brother was exposed for his crimes. Angad has engaged in an endless series of abusive behavior. Naitik didn't sexually assault his wife and throw her in the store room; he never showed continuous preference for sister-in-law over his own wife.
Although Naitik was stubborn, neither he nor Singhanias are deserving of this derogatory comparison.Comparisons to Yeh Rishta third generation, which is still miles above this show, already irritated me as Abhi genuinely cared and felt bad for ditching Akshu when she miscarried. However, it is ridiculous and dare I say, blasphemous, to consider comparing Singhanias with a family full of criminals like Brars who have always escaped without a scratch.
