Such a SHAME that a masterpiece like this turned out to be a disaster at boxoffice, alongwith another gem Tamasha.

And absolute pure real cringy torturous trash like Jawan, Patthan, Gadar 2, Ready, Kick, Dhoom 3 etc became blockbusters.

No wonder Bollywood is where it should belong, considering how the Indian theatrical audience reacts to cinematic releases.

Bollywood current situation serves the Hindi audience best.

HDDC and Bajirao Mastani are his best work as a director.

Devdas is my personal top favorite.

Sanwarya and Guzarish almost killed his career.

Then Raamleela came and saved the day.

Padmavat put a dent in his career as a creative genius. He bounced back big time with Gangu Bai. Netflix had to fund a whole series all about courtesans, all thanks to Gangu Bai's impact.

Everything was going okay till the last paragraph Gangubai was a flop movie which was made hit by manipulation. Padmavat is his biggest blockbuster. His downfall began from gangubai when he casted kid looking actress in the titular role.
