Part 45
G - umhmm.. good night
M - Good night kiss?
G- Shut up!
And once again Geet throws away her phone.
It felt like he just had to end their conversation on an annoying note.

The next day was a counterattack scene between Geet and the same Other Actress
This time the Geet’s character managed to clear her and expose the said 'good friends' backstabbing scheme.
After delivering a bunch of dialogues, the Geet’s character slaps the friend and pours a glass of water over her.
As they start shooting, Geet her dialogues perfectly and then deliver a good tight slap.
The other actress was slapped so hard that she reeled back two steps.
G - Oh no I am sorry!!! I got so involved in the scene and acted out in real instead of just pretending to slap you. I am soooooo sorry.
The director told them to take more care and to start the scene again.
This time again once again Geet raises her hand as if fully intending to slap her in real.
The other actress dodges in advance.
The director calls cut and advises the other actresses to be more serious.
Even if the slap is delivered for real, she should just continue acting.
The other actress looked so angry that Geet felt as if all her anger from yesterday had been vented out.
In the next scene, the OA got slapped again but water pouring scene went wrong. So, the shot had to be taken again.
The OA thoroughly got slapped around that afternoon and after that no one dared to play petty tricks on Geet.
They were clear that she could dish out 5x times of what she receives.

Evening after the shooting ends.
Geet messaged Maan and tells him what all happened.
Like an extremely partial and bad parent, Maan praises Geet for her revenge plan.
G - No. What I did was really unprofessional. But some people just can't be taught by words alone.
M - Yes. You are right.
G- You have filter towards my action. Everything I say or do... you is right. I am not always right.
M - it's fine. It's fine. I have carefully read many books/articles/advice columns. And the conclusion is that the wife is always right. Even when she is wrong, she is right.
G - What nonsense have you been reading!
M - Ahem... that's for me to know and for you to enjoy its end result
She rolls her eyes.
M - What do I say? Fine! I think you were wrong. You let her off too easily. The slap is compensation for the push. What about the rumors she spread and the work atmosphere she destroyed?
G - You mean slapping her publicly is still not enough?
M - No. It's not.
G - .... sometimes you are really scary...
M - Didn't want to scare you.
G- I am not. I just feel bad for the people whom you do want to scare.
M - Ahh wifey is this an indirect praise? Do you feel your husband is mighty?
G - Go to sleep!
This time she didn't throw the phone too far away.

Geet’s current project is on the concluding end.
She was actively auditioning and looking for new scripts.
Over the past year she realized that although the image she tried to cultivate was of sweet, beautiful, young girl but she didn't really enjoy the roles associated with such image.
They were all boring and stereotypical.
She didn't even realize herself when she went from being happy to get any job to being picky about the projects.
She had really enjoyed the travel show she hosted.
Even the music video and advertisement were good.
But this last drama she didn't like at all.
Even if it is successful and brings her a lot of popularity.
She doesn't want to do something similar again.
It feels like not just the scenarios even the dialogues are same.
So, she is taking her time picking and choosing.
She comes across a movie script in which she has a bit of a villainous role... well not exactly villainous but an overbearing, rich second generation, girl.
Who has a good heart but often comes across as a villain because of her callous and casual attitude.
Geet likes that the character isn't goody-goody.
She doesn't mind that it isn't the main role.
She would have immediately said yes too except for the fact that it involves a heavy bed scene.
She didn't feel comfortable and frankly she had low confidence in acting out such scenes.
She had an epic failure when she acted in front of Maan, trying to seduce him in their first meeting.
When she thinks of him and how he says that he is fine with anything unless it is infidelity... she isn't sure if this sort of scene counts or if he will crib about it later or use this to lord over her and make stupid demands
With such thoughts weighing on her mind, she decided to directly video call Maan.
So, she can observe his expressions too.

The phone call was finally accepted after quite a few rings.
As soon as the call connects, Geet could hear water running.
All she sees is mist and wide expanse of skin.
M - oh my it's a video call!!!
Maan yelps.
Geet instantly disconnected the call.
Her face, chest, neck turning red.
She doesn't want to think about what she just saw.
She hypnotized herself; it was just mist and skin colored bathroom tiles.
5mins later Maan calls her back, after quickly finishing his shower.
M - Sorry I didn't realize it was a video call. What's up?
He asked her while rubbing his hair dry with a small towel. another towel draped around the neck to soak up the water.
It was unusual for Geet to call instead of messaging.
Thinking it's something urgent and serious he called her back quickly halfway through getting dressed up.
G - It's okay....
Maan stretches and tilts his neck as he dries his hair involuntarily showing off an inciting image over the camera.
His shoulder and arm muscles peaking in and out of the camera frame.
After half a minute he realizes there was no sound.
He checks if the call got disconnected.
Only to find that the connection and picture quality was very good, and Geet was vacantly staring at him.
Maan slows down his hurried action, so that hair drying can take longer.
If someone wants to look, he shouldn't deny them...
He bites his lip to stop the mischievous smile bubbling up inside him.
Geet’s jaw tenses up as he bit his lip.
She gently swipes her tongue against her lip at the spot mirroring his bitten lip.
Maan eventually stops drying his hair.
His urge to smile is replaced by other passionate emotions.
Geet parts her lips to take in deep breath too.
M – Babe, if you continue looking at me like this, I will catch the next flight and come find you.
Geet snaps out of the alluring moment and realizes she had been staring at him for good 3-4 minutes.
She turned her face away quickly in embarrassment
