That's my thinking, too (the Twitter opinion of DesiNerd you posted, Diya)...and it's not a bad idea. Fans are happy and dislikers add to the hype. In addition, it stops the rumour that the movie won't happen because of no great announcement.

Maybe the producers also test the reception Ranbir gets.

I would like the movie to happen, but in quality. I also want Ranbir to get the possibility to show his potential as an actor, to focus on his craft (Brahmastra-reaction and the private happenings after that certainly had been a challenge).

I also want Ramayana to become a success story for the North-South collaboration.
