Dhillons' backstory?

Has anything been mentioned regarding why this joker Yashdeep is single or anything about his prior life before he met the re emerged Jogan? Dhillons' backstory is barely known. Two 50+ brothers with their aged mother and no one else around. Did neither Yashpal or Yashdeep have any spouse? Any lovers who got married to another/ran off to become Jogans and so they kept waiting 26 years? Is Yashdeep separated/divorced or rather twice divorced? Maybe Yashpal was solely focused on being a chef first as a junior and then having his own restaurant but what about Yashdeep....The way he got crazy over AnupaMaid after one brush from a paranda is certainly fishy.

If only she wasn't so self obsessed and narcissistic, she'd have actually enquired or had some details about this. But all she cares about is narrating her sob story and her never ending troubles (most of which are self inflicted and revolve around her first ex-husband and ex-in-laws) to each and everyone who is unfortunate to encounter her.

Certainly fishy!! Yash family is weird

I think Yashdeep got a glimpse of Anupamaa during college dance/drama event where she had played "Yashoda". Since then she has been his unrequited love

Years back a young Manjeet (Beeji) who was living in India at the time fell in love with a Gujarati man and wanted to marry him however the man declined as his mother would not let him marry a Punjabi. Manjeet then became pregnant with twins however the man still declined stating that he doesn’t want to keep any relationship with her and that the unborn child is a mistake and she should abort it. Manjeet was traumatised and then shifted to America where she raised her sons Yashpal and Yashdeep.

Yashpal’s wife Virmala sadly died after child birth which is why he was so salty all the time and Yashdeep is currently single as he doesn’t like American woman and wants a pure Indian which he has now found in Anupamaa.

Oh and the lover of Beeji and father of the Yash brothers is no other than apna Hasmukh Shah…

Yashdeep was probably dropped on his head as a child and never bothered with all this. The impact can even be seen now, in terms of who he has fallen for

Deepu can be shown widower. I honestly feel like they copied 'cheeni kum' story here or atleast tried to bring in that angle.

Shruti's character is also very shallow. We don't know what she did and how she started loving with this pops beti Jodi.

Maybe, she came across a Bewda Anuj spouting shayri and got charmed thinking it was for her. Though it was actually meant for the 'Meri Anu' that was never his (and never will be in the future as well)

It was shown Yashdeep, an ex-serviceman was madly in love (when he was in setvice) with Simran who ditched him at the altar.

He is nursing a love failure ever since.

Nothing about his brother except that he went to America to make a life, struggled really really hard, had humble beginnings from a food cart, I can't remember to a popular Spice and Chutney. His dislike for Gujarati food was attributed to an unknown bitter past.
