Unpopular opinion 2 : Though I initially hated Imlie ke suits recently, I realized something while binge watching the post Surlie marriage episodes :

While Imlie with Agastya was a chulbul alhad ladki with a jest for life, and a bar singer persona, and her clothes depicted her exuberant nature.. I think Tanu said it once, during the initial episodes, most of us didn't appreciate her attire much, rather they grew on us much later...

While the Imlie 3.2 is more of a woman who had to grow much before her age, cos of the harsh realities she faced.. And hence her pastels suits with printed dupattas are more of a subtle indication that she doesn't see life with those rose tinted glasses anymore.. But yes, there are days like Holi and Ram Navmi where she makes the required efforts for the sake of Surya and his family...
