I absolutely loved how Siraj brought parallel scenes so beautifully on to screen. There are a couple of my favourites. Once you have seen them in link, it is impossible to unsee the emotional connection that bound them - these two were the most obvious parallels, they even wore the same clothes. 😊

Easily my fave combo clothing for them both. Love the scenes and contrast of white and yellow 🤌🏼

All their car scenes were done so well 😍

for me the best writer is Kaahaani. But I wish she’d also do one shots lol. Currently Meri Musibat is going really well 🤌🏼

No, actually EBY murtasim was quite dark and if meerab was an orphan brought up in a feudal family .So, her character being meek was quite understandable... But, the whole plot was really amazing..

Now, I want to go back and finish it.. 😂

yes in the world writer created it was believable. I meant I like stories where the characters are close to show version

I too clocked her pointed words at him “Maanu gi tou tab… jab tumse tum JAISI mohabbat karoon gi” It was a very roundabout way of telling him yes she has feelings but there are things holding her back.
and like you said, when he tells her about his past and how he took on his responsibility as the feudal lord, that dam broke for her then and there.

Which is why I also feel she thought that their love would be strong enough to weather the maryam elopement situation. Maybe that dam breaking gave her renewed confidence in their relationship that it would be strong enough to tackle the repercussions from the elopement. And maybe it would have been enough had it not been for the fact that it was Malik Zubair and how Haya framed Meerab 🤦🏻‍♀️

its kind of poetic in a way. Murtasim lost faith in their love (something he was so confident about) the MOMENT it became a fact for Meerab. The tables turned in that episode.

@Bold - Agreed. In a way, this is true. He wanted to let her know that losing her was not an option for him. When he said 'Khud ko aur mujhe sambhal lena', he asked her to take care of herself, so she could take care of him - keep yourself safely away, do not put your self in the line of fire for others, I cannot do without you.

But his revelation had the counter effect on Meerab - both of them have lost their choices, the same cannot happen to Maryam and also, she is not going to let Murtasim lose his sister - if Maryam attempted suicide as she threatened, he will lose his sister or if she eloped by herself, then the family will disown her, again he will lose his sister. So, she decided to take up the burden upon herself, diverting the blame towards her - she will help Maryam to elope and get married, Maryam will come back married, Murtasim and MB will have to accept the marriage and since it was Meerab who helped the elopement, MB will put all the blame on her, while MB can white wash her daughter and Meerab will take the fall, not Maryam. So, Maryam will still be accepted into the family. And since Murtasim forgave her always sooner or later, as you said, she thought, their love will be strong enough to sail through it. Her plan would have actually worked - it actually worked, as MB put all the blame on her - only hitch was that, well, you know what it was 😵 - Anas tho Anas nahi raha!

And I have to disagree with you on Murtasim losing faith in their love here, that didn't happen. He was hurt alright, he was punishing her the cruelest way he could afford to hurt her - throwing the word 'aazaadi' on her, when he knew that she did not want it anymore, but he didn't lose the faith in their love!
