I don't know what is the problem, if she touches the person who really cares for her..

I just think the whole spiel of Shrishti saying Ani is like Jhanak's brother is what made people feel diatasteful against the entire pair chooing thing...

Exactly.. in Tamil and Telugu custom during the wedding, the groom puts on the toe ring on the bride’s toe.. in such a case is that demeaning to men.

Ani deserves respect no doubt but all this makes me feel uncomfortable because this is done with an intention to humiliate jhanak. Women have come up far where they are no more inferior then men. Even men nowadays dont like certain rituals or sometimes they also do it to make their wife feel equal. In such era a show comes up with a scene like this. Lets see how it looks in episode.

It will look excellent for the target audience i.e, TV audience for whom TV shows are made.

They enjoy watching such scenes as they can connect to such emotional scenes which shows depth of love and respect.

It has nothing to do with humiliating women or here Jhanak.

Its a tradition which we follow in our real life .

In the scenario its Jhanak marriage so she is taking blessing .If it was Anirudh he would also be taking blessings of elders .

Yes , now a days even both husband and wife touch each others feet. And may be many dont follow also. That is ok different thoughts.

And personally i dont think this is anything to do degrading women or their empowerment .

For me I feel empowerment is giving education , having the right to decide , speak their minds , right to work ,even the right to dress , right to be happy , etc which even now like they said needs permission from husband and sasural. That is what bothers me .

Also bowing down and touching feet of anyone anywhere also isn't much appreciated , then its humiliation.

Just put my thoughts , and respect I yours ....

In my opinion Being truly empowered means to choose what way you want to live your life without being mocked for it.

If someone is happy being a housewife in her Sasural and being devoted wife to her husband then mocking her for being jobless and a doormat is also as bad as mocking those who don't want to marry or want to do job even after marriage.

Bottom line is you can't dictate others and force them to follow what is correct as per your own POV.

This timing was not apt for the subplots ..

As he should have been at home for Jhanak wedding as he is ber well wisher

That is a bad written dialogue.

Atleast they could have used their Didi ke....but this dada was too much as they were / are married once ...

Hopefully it would be edited out ...or may be some connecting dialogue is there

In telugu marriages we also follow one more ritual..

Bride and groom press each one toe three times to show equality in marriage.

I love Moh Moh ke Dhaage scene where Both Jhanak and Anirudha ask each other will they miss each other knowing fully well they will miss each other a lot still want to hear from their mouth.

Though neither say anything but their eyes reflect the feelings of their heart.

Song lyrics from Anirudha's POV- My heart was never as carefree as now. Like a letter that found a new address. The threads of endearment are entangled in your fingers. I cannot find a way to untie the knot.

Anirudha has truly fallen in love for the first time, the feelings his heart is experiencing is unprecedented and he just can't control those feelings.

Song Lyrics from Jhanak's POV- You must be a little crazy to have chosen me. How did you hear my unspoken words?

You ‘re like the day, and I’m like the night. Let’s get together like the evenings. Threads of love are caught in your fingertips. I can’t find a way to unite the knot.

Jhanak somehow feels she doesn't deserves Anirudha and she wonders how, many times he understands her feelings and acts upon it without her saying anything (or saying something opposite)

She knows that both of them are completely different kind of people still wants an Union among themselves as she too just can't control her feelings for Anirudha.
