My my my! I watched yesterday's episode about 3 times now! It was beautiful! I also loved how Kathir gave his first pay to Raji and no one else. That was so wonderful to watch. And Raji was glowing so much with happiness. She is definitely the next Mullai with all that day dreaming, smiley and starry eyed expressions! Kathir too looked pretty content to have given her the money. Raji's reaction when he said not to ask for money from parents and rather ask him for the same, that instant happiness and surprise was very much visible!

Its going to take quite sometime for him to come out of this 'pudikyatha kalyaanam' phase. And I am pretty sure by the time he finally comes out of it, Raji will get into that phase and distance herself from him, believing he will never move on from it. This way they would keep stretching their story! Anyhow, its going to be a lonngg journeyy and hoping that Kathir remains insistent on taking responsibility for her.

Kuzhali is a nuisance and reminds me of PS1's Jaga's wife. So I will ignore her existence. I ff'ed the second she entered on the screen. Avanga makeup appirukaradha paarthale thaale sutthudhu!

They will sight adi each other for a long time without confessing their feelings, and I'm ready to watch it. In fact, from first, Kathir was always aware of her even if she was angry with her or wanted Kriminalvelu to beat him up. I also liked that when she said no initially, he said the money would be on the table only and she could take it if she wants. He is a caring and responsible guy, he sure will care for Raji more once laaav feelings set in.

Kuzhali made an appearance after eons Even Pandian seemed to be scared of her. Kuzhali is not needed at all. So is Arasi, but then it will become like S1 so one girl would have been sufficient. Who knows, Kumarvelu might marry Arasi to take revenge on Kathir. Just joking!

Over makeup and overacting but no substance.

Actually, I liked that Kathir himself told Pandian that he was working. What's the point in hiding? If found out later, Gomathi would have created a scene and fainted or something and created a problem out of nowhere. Now, all got bypassed since everyone got to know before Gomathi.

I loved how Palani pointed out that Kathir was given no money or vehicle but expected to go to college and be responsible. And Senthil, for the first damn time, said what's the point in telling Gomathi because Kathir needs money and needs to work to earn money. Subtly telling that Gomathi can't do shit. Good!

Pandian seems impressed that Kathir is working. Since he himself worked hard and struggled in life, it would have been hypocritical if he reacted like Gomathi. He was always telling Kathir is dandam and to go do something urrpadiya. Now, Kathir is doing that only. He has nothing to complain about.

Hopefully, Senthil and Saravana learn from Kathir how to be sensible. Yes, children should honor their parents, but they don't have to be idiots. Saravana is not yet married, but Senthil should realize that he should have money at hand. At least not beg his father for money to take his wife out for coffee. The way Meena was talking about her work today makes me feel she might drop out of work and become a full-time housewife. I hope she doesn't, Mayil can take up that role instead, and then all DILs will be different instead of being Dhanam's clones.

@bold - Exactly. Meena is truly infuriating. In fact, instead of her calling up Kathir, she should have encouraged Raji to call him. Meena kind of looked despo to call Kathir as if she has the utmost right on him. Even Dhanam did give some space to KM, even though she too was no less in poking her nose. But she did not really exert any right over Kathir there. She mostly kept enquiring Mullai only.

The way Meena keeps an Hawk's eye over everyone in the family is starting to look CREEPY and CRINGEY! The way she looked at Senthil and Palani having silent convo and her poking in between with her enna aachu, edhu aachu is just soo damn childish and cringe. It is as if no one can have any private convo and she HAS TO BE included! Also, the way she kept looking at Pandian gauging his reaction. Yemma, thaangale!! I think Hema was promised a lead role here but since the core love story is of KR and both Akash-Shalini are bringing in more viewership, Hema is being compensated with this role of being a nattamai!

I agree with everything you said about Meena. I am also starting to dislike Meena-Kathir scenes now. Also I won’t be surprised if they show Kathir opening up to Meena about why he is going to work and plan to support Raji while Raji will be clueless.
Just because Hema was promised lead role doesn’t mean Meena has to be annoying. If she wanted the lead role then she should have become Gomathi

Decent and meaningful conversation between Kathir-Raji are very few and far, on top each of their private scenes are also crashed by Meena or Gonathi, Its as if Gomathi and Meena don’t want Kathir-Raji to be together or want to keep a tab on their relationship and constantly influence both of them

In short, Meena wants to know everything that’s happening In others lives and Gonathi wants to create a drama out of every situtation🙄

Pandian ku Thangamayil family paatha amaidhiya irrukam!

This is like Shinchan's " Amaidhi amaidhi, amaidhiyoo amaidhi, amaidhin amaidhi."

Let me savor this episode and finish laughing, then I'll come with review comments.

OMG! We knew that Thangamayil and her family are fishy. Cosmo-girl even said Mayil could be “Puyal” or “Kazhugu. I manifested severe “Aapu” from Thangamayil to Pandian, evrn mentioned this marriage is goung to come back to bite Pandian’s back. Now it looks like this is all going to happen

Thangamayil, Bakkiyam, Manickam , probably the younger sister Muthuchudar all look like terror. They are making Muthuvel-Sakthivel better I also can’t wait for Meena’s parents to get back in the show.

Pandian is going regret his decision of getting Saravansn married to this uncouth family I only feel bad for Saravansn, he definitely deservrs better than this.Meena like always, started having her doubts about this whole thing She will get to the bottom of it and find out what type of family they are as she cannot stop poking her nose in others business.

I am so happy that Pandian is soon going to be taught a lessonI can’t wait to see hos face when Thangamayil and her family’s true colors are exposed in front of him. I was laughing at the parallel scenes when Pandian was describing Thangamayil’s family while they were doing opposite pf what he was saying about them He should realize what gems Meena and Raji are, though Meena is intrusive, nosy, she is not a fighter cock like Thangamayil Now I feel whatever Thangamayil’s family said at the Swayamvar is all lies including her educational qualification ( M.A. Engligh)

That said, though I liked Kathir-Raji scene, wish they had a short conversation and Raji could have expressed her feelings about Kathir going to work to support both of them. But we atleast got a scene of her being concerned and removing his earphones, so he could sleep. With each passing day, Raji is slowly falling for Kathir. Hope Kathir too starts feeling something towards her and starts realizing what a great girl Raji is and the right partner for him.
Though I liked Palanivel and the brothers at the beginning of the episode, Gomathi came there and spoiled with her drama like always. I really liked how Palanivel pointed that Gomathi is not a good mother. She doesn’t fight for her son in front of Pabdian, doesn’t support Kathir in front of Pandian but is always ready to create a drama and acts as of she is caring.

Like Mirage09 said, what’s with being scared of Pandian, even after almost 30 years of marriage, 5 kids and 1 grandkid too. It doesn’t look believable at all🙄

Whatever it is, I don’t want this Saravanan-Thangamayil’s marriage to affect Kathir-Raji’s relationship in anyway and looking forward to some progress in their relationship.

Today was epic!!!

Pandian and Gomathi nalla aapu vaanga poranga! Paavam Saravanan is the collateral damage here. But sometimes, I think he too deserves it for not taking a stand and betraying the woman who actually loved him a lot. Senthil atleast built up that courage with Kathir's support and so did not give up.

Something tells me this Thangamayil and Meena are going to be at loggerheads for a loooonnngg time. Hopefully, that should keep Meena occupied.🤞 KR should get some respite from Meena's hawk eyes and then both will be able to do all that sight adiying each other.*hopefully*

Palanivel always says the right things. But it all sounds comic with all that comical bgm and his funny characterization. No one really takes him seriously. He is just there to humor the audience. And the way Gomathi reacts to his dialogues every time is also in a funny way with comic background score. Nirosha too makes it seem funny.

I think Kathir is no longer into that 'amma amma' mode. It is starting to get evident that he is kind of distancing himself from her. He speaks with her casually, but there seems to be a barrier now. I kind of felt that as a viewer. Not sure though. It was good how he just refused to take the milk and escaped from her alapal.

KR scene - small but impactful. Raji is slowly and steadily starting to care for Kathir. She is definitely falling for him. And I hope he falls harder!

I am also hoping that Raji too will start looking for part time job. There would be nothing more beautiful if she lands a job and both together manage their own expenses and take responsibility for each other. I believe, that would be a huge start for their story, if such a plot is executed.

This Baakiyam is the same actress who played negative character in Thirumathi Selvam, right? I remember my mom watching that show without fail.
