There seems to be one small change today though..Ani seems to have dropped the act he was putting on in front of this family post his accident regarding hating Jhanak. He seems to be back to low-key supporting Jhanak in front of his family - similar to how he was when they returned from Kolkata.

Did anyone else feel that?

Yes, I did. It has been evident for quite some time now, even before the Holi. He had to dance, which he didn't like so there is no suspicion on Jhanak.

Were/are Jhanak and Ani legally married ? Can't remember if their marriage was registered in Kashmir.

If they are legally married then shouldn't they be getting a divorce before either of them can marry again? Was this ever raised in the episodes?

Okay, my thought process during this entire episode... Like Anju ji said.... MINDBLOWN. Yep. That's right. And not in a good way.

The past three episodes were like a perfect song set up to end in a crescendo, but instead fizzles out anti-climactically. So sad. There was almost 0% connectivity.

The episode starts with the doctor coming and telling Shubho and Jethu about putting Jhanak in the ventilator. Jethu is willing to sign it, but Shubho has issues. He questions his brother about who is willing to pay. So cheap and third class, Jethu gives it back to him but so thandaa. Dialogue writers are failing miserably here. He could have said two impactful lines "What would you do if someone asked the same questions if you were in her position?", "Is human life worth less than some money?" before he gave his lamba explanations about Ani asking him to make sure there is nothing spared for her treatment be it money or otherwise. I feel I write better dialogues than them at this point.

Then Shubho sees his pyaara putra coming in the dirt-laden semi-desi puja avatar. He asks questions but Ani Babu is more interested in reaching Jhanak's room. He just stares into space and leaves without replying. They reach the room and ask the doctor to let him inside to keep the flower for his satisfaction. The doctor relents after persuasion and lets them in.

Following this, the Basu ladies and the Kolkata Kardashians come, aka Arshi and Shrishti. Officially my name to them is now Senior and Junior Kardashian aka, SK and JK. They are not worth me wasting alphabets and space now. SK recounts the events in the temple upon Shubho's insistence. This makes me feel squeamish about the entire temple scene yesterday. SK haughtily tells Shubho she wants to see if Ani's actions yield results, and he replies to her with status update. Madam, apki beti kare tho teek, koi aur kare tho superstition? Aap apne stance mein ade rahiye na?

A beautiful FB of all Ani-Jhanak moments plays with the song "Tanha sa dil hai mera" in the background as Ani steps inside the room bringing the flower to caress her forehead and place it near her. He reminisces how Jhanak did the same for him as he does so (Logically he was unconscious wasn't he? Bloopers poeple ). He feels calm now that he has tried his best when miraculously Jhanak's fingertips move as the nurse notices her. Medical miracle people.... Yaay! . Real life mein nahi hota, but ITV mein phoot phootke ye miracles aate hain. . The doctor disbelieves her but checks it anyway and lo behold! her pulse rate has increased to Ani's happiness.

Ani gets emotional, caresses her head, and pleads for her to come back to consciousness. The desperation and hope are evident in his face and in the words, he utters to Jhanak. "Jhanak mein hoon yahan", "Jhanak tumhe jeena hoga","Jhanak tum muje chodke nahi jaa sakthi", 'Tumhe zindagi mein karna kitna aur kuch baaki hai, lena kitna aur baaki hain na?", "Tume zinga rehna hoga Jhanak, please ut jao". Krushal excels in emotional scenes where he is the sole focus! His repeated pleas to Jhanak to get up at least once were very palpable.

Seeing him get all emotional, the doctor asks him to leave for him to treat Jhanak and he leaves reluctantly with Chotton as we see Jhanak's eye flutter ever so lightly. The hospital scene ends there...

Now we shift to the Basu Madhouse as the vile ladies and SK, JK talk about the events. They see Ani, Jhanak, and Chotton enter the house and before they can properly come inside, SK starts his tirade about how Jhanak has insulted her name.

How is she so delulu that Jhanak is staying in Basu house because of her? Let's go back to ep no 17 shall we? Ani clearly rebuked her and said he didn't bring Jhanak in her trust. so how is she under this conclusion? And to top it off she says Basus behaves well with her? Hain....  WTH? Bhaang ki nasha abhi bhi nahi utra hai kyaa CVs? Kitna idiotic dailgoues dete ho cast ko? Wasn't SK supposed to be clever?

And why is Ani being all respectful towards SK now? NO continuity at all. How does he even think to be patient with these people is beyond me. I strongly have the urge these days to split open both the leads' heads and see what they are thinking. It's so confusing man...

JK comes to her mother's defense and blames Jhanak for drinking too much. Jhanak retorts saying she was forced, and Ani remembers Bipasha the naagin bhabhi giving her drinks but doesn't say anything out loud since the ladies just lay it on thick and give no chance to Jhanak to talk back. As usual. Ugghh. As the cherry on top, Chotton also says "What's the use of thinking now, what's happened has happened?". The heck? Again, no continuity. Why give 30 min crap with such bad editing man . I still have hopes for Ani since he cut Jhanak's response with a calculative look. Hope he looks into this later. Please Ani, Wake up!!!!!!

Appu comes in like a free breath of air and both she and Bodo maa fawn over Jhanak and stress her to rest. Aww...

Tanja starts spouting crap about Jhanak missing work but Bodo maa shuts her up so gracefully by saying only people who have sympathy can show it, it's not in everyone's capacity to do so.

The things these ladies fight over, what started with Appu's casual remarks on Milk devolved quickly into household politics, but good for Chotton to stand on Jhanak's behalf, The small head nod between him and Ani speaks Volumes... they are in sync about anything related to Jhanak.

SK tho never leaves a chance to insult the less earning, so she starts insulting Jethu which just irritates Ani, and he politely tells her to eff off and not talk about his uncle demeaningly in front of him again. That too respectfully. Why?

I thought there wasn't much left, but it's still 12 mins more. HOW DOES THIS EPISODE FEEL LONG AND SHORT AT THE SAME TIME? 12 more mins? God dayum....

Anyways, SK starts talking about Jhanak's impending marriage and the prospective groom visiting tomorrow and Ani is shocked, rightfully. What did he think? These people will have the common sense to postpone this issue until later to his advantage. No Ani babu, they may not have common sense, but they are all shrewd bishes. Unhe ek hi kaam karna hai, Jhanak ka picha chudana and they'll do it by hook or crook.

JK asks if he has issues, and he retorts they should not hurry things. He asks Jhanak if Marriage is her only aim in life... and as usual, Jhanak replies with yes. I want to settle with my husband, and I want to marry and leave this house as soon as possible. She also adds in the extra dose of "Kya Haq hai aapka?", to prevent Ani from arguing further. I know people are pissed with her, but imo she is in a very self-defensive and survival mindset, left to fend for herself, and doesn't want anyone especially Ani getting involved and damaging his relationship with his family. Hence all this crap and rudeness towards him. Also like @Bubble ji said, to put space between herself and Ani since his actions seem to scare her on a certain level.

One thing I like about the show, and it has happened numerous times before, is that whether it be an argument or discussion involving Ani and Jhanak, there is always another layer of conversation happening just between those two even if they are in front of a crowd unheard by the others. This was very apparent today as Jhanak was throwing words like "Haq", "Zimmedari", "Shaadi", "Manzoor" etc while looking at Ani and trying to gauge his reactions. Ani on the other hand is visibly tensed and silent. The only difference between this and the other discussions before this is now Arshi is catching onto their silent conversations and keenly watching them both with an eagle eye. I think in the future, Jhanak's chances to respond will be visibly reduced and Arshi will make sure she doesn't communicate with Ani in any form.

At least there is a positive end to the episode, Bodo maa asks Jhanak to think carefully and not marry in a hurry as a means of escape. As Tanuja and SK retort, Ani comes to the rescue and Krushal's acting makes it worthy of watching.
