There was already a stan twt phadda where someone made a crossover edit using Peer-e-Kamil (PeK) dialogues on Meerasim scenes. She wasn't even imagining Wahaj and Yumna as Salar/Imama or comparing TB to PeK. She just thought some dialogues from PeK went with Meerasim scenes. They were harmless posts really (see below). People make edits to meerasim/yumhaj using bw songs & dialogues, faiz, ghalib, rumi ki shayari all the time. But that girl was hounded by many people on X for this.

It was a day or two after that phadda that this account named itself to Wahaj as Salar Sikandar.

Last week when there was twitter phadda where people were accusing Wahaj of not fasting when he was in Dubai and criticizing him. It was after this the account named itself Wahaj world's best muslim.

It's a troll account. It wants to provoke people and engage with it.

I don't see anything wrong using PeK's dialogues on them. Why are they getting so triggered? Salaar & Imama never were perfect & that's where you connect with their journey.

I'm sure Umera would have made a drama on it if it didn't include the other religion. It wouldn't sit well with people.

How are these people so dumb & clueless? If Wahaj was travelling obviously fasting wasn't obligated to him. He can make up for those days after Ramadan. Anything to demean him

Yes. PeK had a religious theme to it but these are just dialogues & if it's about the journey of characters towards Islam then PTV has already made Main Abdul Qadir hoon. PeK involves a minority community so it's risky to dramatize it.

What I meant is if it would have been dramatized, there would be no question who fits the role or not.

JBHSSL is by Farhat Ishtiyaq. The whole novel is raised by Sikandar's character & his journey otherwise there's nothing extraordinary in it.

that's the thing. it wasn't fan casting. The girl made it clear she was not imagining nor does she want Wahaj and Yumna as Salar and Imama.

She was making a crossover edit where she thought some lines from the book goes well with Meerasim scenes - same way hundreds of fans have made TB edits using Bollywood songs and dialogues. Same way people have used Faiz or Ahmed Faraz ki shayari on TB fan edits. There was an edit I remember which had used Kashaf's monologue from ZGH.

Booktok is full of book quotes on pictures of actors, strangers, things.

It was people being reactionary because they saw TB and PeK in same sentence without understanding the context.

I mean how is this crossover edit least bit offensive to Umera Ahmed. Akso this is not fan casting.
