A difficult time indeed. Both Kate and Charles have cancer.

I’m thinking her doctors discovered a growth in an area of her abdomen and the surgery was the remove it. Cancer discovery happened after the surgery when they tested the growth.

The surgery could have been in any number of areas. Ovaries (I hope not, ovarian cancer doesn’t have good prognosis), uterus, cervix, stomach, intestines, bladder, kidney, liver, bladder … I’m sure I missed some.

The video says she’s doing preventive chemotherapy now so I’m guessing they did get the cancer out but there’s serious worry of it coming back, hence the preventative chemo.

Desu can shed more lights on the last part for us.
