I would have thought so too but I was genuinely shocked. I love Hiba and started Jhok Sarkar because of her but it became quickly obvious to me that Hiba should have picked Noorie’s role instead of her own. Not only was Noorie the better written character, there was more range to perform and more screen time as well. Hiba’s role in JS was completely forgettable and anyone could have played it. It was pretty minor.

This was even discussed in SH and even Amina thought it was weird that Hiba preferred the so called heroine role when Noorie obviously had the most scope and screen time. She thought Hiba might have been offered both but she picked the heroine one halaan ke it was nothing special.

Hard disagree on the performance though. Mamya was excellent in JS. And that too against seasoned actors like Hiba and Asif raza mir. The only other show I’ve seen of hers is few episodes of college gate and it’s hard for me to reconcile that that’s the same actor lol. But then again most actors had their debut in that and all were bad.

a lot of people are just watching reels after the first 7-8 episodes. And a lot of them don’t find bhallay funny at all. There’s a lot people were willing to overlook for bilal but sadly he can’t salvage this disaster. I was finding excuses for the flaws myself a few weeks back and persisting in watching. But even I have reached my limit
