I think he is making a general point, and not targeting anyone specifically, as there is a whole laundry list TV/YT/IG/TikTok stars with SM following that did not translate into Box Office $$$.

But his general point sounds right to me. Film stardom is a completely different beast. Humayun does not have SM reach or engagement of a Hania or Jannat Zubair but his films are very successful at BO.

Audience doesn’t mind flaws. The problem is when the story white washes the flaws. Meerab doesn’t let Murtasim white wash his flaws and brings them up constantly, but here Shibra madam ko koi tension hi nai hai 🤦🏻‍♀️🤣 We were robbed of a brief fallout between the two which should have happened - Shibra would have taken her time to forgive him, Shahmeer would have gotten some form of punishment for deceiving her - but now it’s all sunshine and rainbows 😂

Meerab is no less. Atleast shahmeer never physically abused shibra or anyone for that matter. He only kidnapped nargis and had sexy talks with her . Meerab was feeling guilty for running away and came back to her abuser. She was made to feel guilty every time she does something right like standing up for that servant at the village and then blaming herself for the accident which happened because of murtu Maharaj's rash driving.

Shibra and meera both were shown to be this morally upright gutsy annoyingly preachy women for the first few episodes only to end up being dumb af 🤣.
