Totally agree with you. This type of cringe-lite started when Karthik and Vedika were an item in season 2. Yes, people will say they were married; same with season 3 also. There was cross cringe even if one couple were married and another was shown engaged too. They went on a picnic; remember that is when heart ailment was found out. Cross ship against the original Jodi had happened along with paternity fraud and in fact, current Abhira was made 😂😅 when supposedly her parents were trying to help poppy to overcome depression by celebrating Abhira’s father’s birthday 🤷🏻‍♀️.

So, no matter how much people try to convince themselves that some were divorced, some were married, someone was engaged etc., the ITV thumb rule is, it is perceived as “cross cringe” if it is against the original couple who are separated at that point of time. ITV almost always, brings back the original jodi back - alive or dead. DKP writers made an exception because they wanted to take the cringe and 3rd angle one notch above this season. I have a controversial take on today's episode

He was stressed for abhira throughout. You can't expect him to be sane in that situation. It was Ruhi who held his hand and he wasn't aware of his surroundings..he only was recalling his happy moments with abhira all through. It was all abhira on his head. I loved the Poddars today. Especially the way Vidya tied their hands and dhaga.

His last statement to Ruhi was again something he didn't want to admit but I won't call it a leading on because he just doesn't want to admit that he has started feeling for abhira. Koi bhi hota Ruhi ki jagah, he would say the same. It is really not a big deal. Why would he lie to anyone if he doesn't believe that he is Abhira's husband. It's just that makers and editors hate him for real and it's always ruhi around so it looks a bit cringe but only because of Ruhi's creepy behaviour.

Only tagging people who i feel would get my take. Thank you. I wasn't thinking to write but because I have a different point of view which I want people to read it once even if they disagree.

+ I am annoyed with him too simultaneously for him being not firm with Ruhi but here the circumstances were very different. He was in hospital.. it's not like he left abhira and was romancing with Ruhi - my problem isn't that people calling him out but ema, cheating are still far fetched words for him. He isn't even spineless ( as he was firm with her though) , he has just burdened himself with guilt.
