I feel cringe seeing his and abhira's scenes,feel bad for that innocent soul that how she trusts these 2 so blindly and how they are sunaoing her as if she is wrong while crying for their incomplete love story behind her back..

See when ab said to ruhi ki you need to find your happiness and love outside this house,the look these 2 gave eo,they very well knows what they are doing..

The answer is Armaan is falling for Abhira and in case of Ruhi he is overridden with guilt that he is responsible for her condition. Therefore, he sometimes goes out of his way to make sure she is happy. Till the time Rohit was there he never bothered about her much.

he knew y abhira did that...and he could easily explain that to dadi......that was not difficult.....\agar abhira ne wakai bina rason disrecpect ki hoti, and armaan ko makers use ghar laate hue dikhaate, to bhi koi baat hoti....

@ red: and he did not choose abhira then too. he did not reach there and may b abhira called and she came to ruhi to take care of her....aisa mujhe yaad hai....he did not go to abhira to celebrate with her...when ruhi had a fku....

but he did not reciprocate abhiar's hug ( aage badh kar khud hug karne ki to baat hi nahi) when he was dancing with his family....

If we get his monologue we can be sure about his feelings. But whatever he feels towards Ruhi is purely guilt. While he is falling really hard for Abhira. He was trembling with fear thinking about Abhira getting shot. He enjoys a comfort level with Abhira even though they claim 'deal wali shaadi'. He is visibly uncomfortable around Ruhi. If you have feelings for someone you would actually enjoy those touches.
