Some one on Reddit had a very interesting take on these marriages. Merchants, Mehtas, and Primals are rich, very rich, but they’re no where near Mukesh Ambani in terms of wealth and power. There are other rich people who are closer to Ambanis in terms of wealth but that would have put them in an almost equal footing. Mukesh didn’t want that. Specially for his daughter. Isha will always have the upper hand in her marriage simply because how much more money she and her dad have compared to her in laws. This was his way of protecting his children.

The ambani's have a very big and powerful PR, i remember there was a youtube video or insta post about the ambani's, most of the comments were paid comments, each one saying the same thing which was praising the ambanis to the skies and how grateful they are for the ambani's.

I mean all of these events and weddings they have had are like something out of a bollywood movie, happy families like something out of hum saath saath hain, the speeches have all been rehearsed and as if someone has written them for them. I'm not saying they are unhappy or they have issues, but they try to portray themselves as being perfect in every way.
