it did, Zaroon was a logical misogynist in the realms of Kashaf's world..because it worked with Kashaf..she missed the presence of a father figure..and Zaroon wanting to be head of the house..kinda fit in hand in gloves with her..I found that scene where she cried when he gave her money, very telling and psychologically interesting..! Also the way he reacted when he found out about Osama proposing to Kashaf..bhai you were a flirt in college and even had a broken engagement..you dont get to be upset with about Kashaf getting a proposal from your friend? The most problematic part of ZGH for me personally was when Zaroon lied about meeting Asmara..I would have doubted him and left the house too if I was Kashaf..Speaking of Zindagi Gulzar Hai,does anyone feel that it had undertones of misogyny?I felt so(though I liked the show)I feel Kashaf should have been with Osama instead of Zaroon. The latter had problematic views on women and fell for Kashaf because she ticked the boxes of an ideal wife(he himself said this).Infact,I think Umera Ahmed's shows tend to have undertones of misogyny. There is another show which people were praising a lot so I checked its story on Wikipedia to find out if it is worth watching and didn't like it.Can't remember the name of that drama.
Kashaf actually isnt a strong character in the run of ZGH IMO..she had a lot of insecurities, bitterness etc and sometimes she was just wayy too rude.. but I liked how they both sort of balanced each other out in the end..she brought a sense of order, discipline and responsibility in him and he brought calmness and happiness in her life..
