I liked the starting scene where that Sindhi song played. It had some tragic vibe to it. The editing needs to be better though.
Suleiman turned out to be such a hypocrite. Now he's valuing people on the basis of their social status. I don't judge him for feeling bad because his daughter & FB were flirting but the reason he gave was pathetic. It took his character graph down.
I loved the scenes between FB & Shibra, also with Farhad
I was tired of watching loud heroes raising their voice & their OTT body language. I loved the calmness that surrounds Shahmeer. The scene between him & Mehreen was so well done.
Ps I'm happy for Billu boy. They felt the need to include his name in the episode. Says a lot
I thought the first scene was completely a separate thing altogether and nothing related to the show at all. The OG Fazal Baksh scenes just seem totally forced now to me. Not needed. And the mention of Bilal was again a bit forced. It’s like the show is high on itself and not in a good way 🤦🏻♀️
I wish if they had wanted to include Bilal’s name, they could have done it in a better scene in a better way. It was so random and weird for me.
You’re so right about Suleiman. Ugh what a weirdo. What did this guy expect when he asked Fazal Baksh to live in with 2 daughters in the house and he was totally fine with them going out with him, even outside, getting favors from him, and just hanging out at home with him one on one. They’re young and pretty, both of them, it’s plausible that feelings could have happened. So like… what’s he on about now all of a sudden? Why is this out of nowhere for him? 😂 It’s ridiculous.
And yes he is so self righteous and up on his high horse all the time. He talks about goodness and equality but when it comes to acceptance of someone inferior in social status, his cracks begin to show. Shibra is better than him in that sense. She’s not affected by social status. At least her character trajectory makes sense. You don’t expect someone like her to care about social status. No idea why her father suddenly would ! 🤦🏻♀️ this is all to make the reveal of Shahmeer more “dramatic” for him when he finally learns that OH, Fazal baksh wasn’t poor but a rich influential man all along ! Sadly it’s gonna come at the cost of Suleimans character sketch 😒
LOVE what you wrote about Shahmeer’s unnerving calmness through everything. Kudos to Bilal for portraying that so well. You can see the glare and the anger and the betrayal in his eyes but he’ll always stay polite and within his limits. I love that kind of quiet intimidation and patience
