They were more advanced than we think, they had equipments of measurements but definitely not with inches and cms

Exactly, the problem is in the execution, leads were miscast, dialogues, editing and story presentation all are very poor and cheap. That's why the show flopped. Also this Helena being a villain is getting out of hand. She was Princess of Persia for god's sake. She was devotee of Apollo (one of sun's deities). Her father claimed to be son of Apollo and he stopped a bull from his bare hands. Chandragupta was richer than Seleucus but he was no less. His daughter was his jigar ka tukda whom Chandragupta cherished and loved (he had to , no choices there 😂)

Even if leads were miscasted, direction and makeup artists could have done a way better job. Those 2 leads aren't acting up to their potential here.

For audiences if leads aren't visually pleasing they reject the show, it's for ITV audiences who don't use brain to watch the shows, they found Adnan not handsome as Ashok which is fine, Ashok wasn't handsome but his acting could have been better. Look at Om Puri, what a perfomance that man have as Ashok, brilliant 👏 and ofcourse they director is at fault who deliberately insulted Ashok , Sushima and Bindusara by not giving them good costumes and headgear. It looked like Ekta and her PH wanted this show to fail 🙄

TRP audiences like such stuff, not their fault

Instead of Vittashoka they brought Pawan, who is he? Where he came from? No introduction just blatantly showing him with Ashok 🙄😂😂

Pawan was SRK's horse in the Ashoka movie.

Om Puri deserves more respect and also his rough skin was a more accurate depiction of Emperor Ashok. He was also able to carry the seriousness and there were no useless shouting. Lucky Ali as Vittashok was a pleasant surprise to see. And the guy can act. I don't know whatever happened to him to give up his acting career.

The headgear could at least cover up the wig! And would add more beauty and prestige to the royals being enacted on-screen. The change of the medallion on the headwear/pagri/pag seemed almost very real to me as shown in the show (Bharat ki Khoj).

And really if I, as a foreigner never Googled about Ashok when dad told me that it's a real story or the summary provided at the end of the Ashoka movie, I'd never know Ashoka had other wives or he had a disease or even more than 2 wives and who was who. I'd never know about Radhagupta and Tushaspa if not from the forum, despite the latter being shown almost casually in the movie.

Let me get a job 1st so that I can get that amount of money to spend. Then I would need his address and then again, the ganné would go under inspection. And as it would take some days to reach India, I don't think it would even reach him. 😂
