Not abusive, but I'm saying that, there are no love between them, they stayed together because they considered it as a duty only.

In polygamy they stay together for duty or power or forced and rarely for love. If a king has multiple wives and concubines there is no way he can love all of them...yes some can be his favourite but love to possible nahi hai.

Damn!!! That's harsh. For Adnan I feel like there are useless scenes (apples and all the food, costume, soldier fights within the palace and Bahubali or over the top display of strengths) which could have been avoided and a bit of importance given to body language. He acted well in the main fight scene (after having consumed his dearest apple) and impressed with his scenes minus everything I've mentioned above. Maybe I'm a little bit bias, but, that's more of a direction, costume & writer's problem, I believe.

As for Mallika, yup, she's irritating and her not knowing that kings could have concubines even in the form of servants and ladies maid is irritating!! I mean, how will she react when she gets to be the 2nd wife and when Ashok takes on more wives after her? Is she still going to complain and cause issues? I find her having Tishyaraksha vibes than anything. Devi might accept the other wives as she seems more open minded, bold and a woman who can stand alone as compared to Karuwaki. It's a writer's and directors thing more than an actor's thing.

By the way, is it Kaurwaki or Karuwaki?

Maybe respect, admiration, attraction, lust, friendship or they just ignore the ones whom they don't match with. Favorites are more closer to the ones they love and being the main queen is more of who comes from royalty and has more of an understanding of politics, is what I feel happened at that time. Because living without at least feeling some kind of love is impossible to imagine for me. And as some people today, guess it's possible to actually love 2 people at the same time, just that today we are made to choose but back then, it was possible to be in a relationship with both women.

In real history it's Karuwaki and you blew my mind when you said Karuwaki as Tisyarakshita because some scholars indeed associate Karuwaki with Tisyarakshita🙄

Exactly, I don't understand how they became friends as Vidisha is in Madhya Pradesh and Kalinga is in Odisha. 🤣😂

Not necessarily, Chandragupta's chief queen was Durdhara who was a commoner like him. She belonged from Mauryan lineage. Ashok's chief queen was a princess named Asandhimitra but after her death he made his concubine Tisyarakshita as his chief queen. It all depended on whom the king wanted badly.
