I don't think there has been a scene where Agastya is shown actively doing something at the same time Surya was shown. As mentioned Agastya was showing to be lying on Imlies bed when Vishwa made the phone call, and we didn't see what he was doing during Suryas entry. We also didn't see him receive the phone call/message regarding Ashu. Which is why I mentioned that he might have been wearing the hoodie when we saw him in factory because he was still partially in uniform in his hurry to get to the factory. I mean when have we seen him wear a hoodie!

This will probably be my last one for a little while lol. These were some of my favourite Agastya and Imlie looks. Sai in the black shirt and Imlie in the bronze sharee uff.

Throwback to the Shriman Goldigger-jhi episodes when Imlie made Agastya literally dig for gold near the well. They also had some dard and comedy wala moments during this episode.

My question is why would they bring a doppelganger as the new lead unless the earlier lead isn't working. Agastya was loved unanimously by everyone so the team will take a big gamble if they were to say Agastya really died and Surya is the new lead. It makes no logical sense to me.

Plus Surya as a teda cop doesn't give me a lead wali feeling yet.

The change in montage is to fool the audience that Surya is the new lead. I believe he may have scenes with Imlie but I doubt it will be romantic. You may have a point about some issues with the police men being the same and asking for a statement which Agastya dismissed. That conversation was definitely off so surely serves some purpose.

You think Sonali tampered with the car brakes and wanted him dead? Or you think Agastya is helping Surya with some undercover mission due to which this was staged?

That’s what I was saying, them showing us Surya’s teda-ness feels like a sign that he won’t be the lead.

But also if this was all Agastya’s plan, then it’s kind of cruel towards Imlie. Even if it’s for undercover mission, it doesn’t justifiy making your significant other believe that you died. It would explain why he seemed so weak willed when it came to surviving. Granted, Imlie is strong but now she’s going to have to go through the whole process of grieving him whilst also enduring his family’s taunts. Binni is also going to be a pain to deal with not that he knew before dying but still. If I was Imlie, I’d grab Navya’s mask and run after him with a sickle.

Only loophole in that theory is, that August genuinely met with an accident, and later planned everything with the cops..

This is because, if he had even 1% shaq about his car being mishandled, he wouldn't take the risk of Imlie's life.. Or maybe, I shouldn't apply so much logic, and just accept the positive side of the story, that August won't die :D

I’m sure Surya and Imlie could pull off comedy together perfectly. I’m having a hard time imagining pyaar or dard if he’s not Agastya. I somehow totally forgot that Surya was going to be lead in the Purvaya police station, how will the news not spread around that he looks exactly like the recently deceased heir of Chaudhary Sweets.

Also Tanu, you’re giving me more hope!

Yes he should be smacked with a sickle if this was a plan and he put Imlie through this pain on purpose.

One reason he didn't confide in Imlie was coz she would stop him/ may not come across as truly in grief(?).

@illyria, you do have a point about the hoodie. Which means Agastya is Surya and Surya is no one? But how does one explain the Telugu? Did he have a roommate in college who taught him the language?

@Kashish, I absolutely love how much you love Agastya and Imlie. I feel so good to read your thoughts and feelings about them. It reminds of me of how much I love Sai's first show. It consumes me 🍉

4. If Mr Surya Pratap Reddy was supposed to join Purwaiya thana in the morning, he should have joined. But where is he? He is going to be the 'lead' . His scene should be shown na?

5. If 'Surya' is there in the montage, then he will be treated as the lead. He will be portrayed as a romantic angle with Imlie, that's inevitable. In any of the shows which had doppelganger tracks you won't see the doppelganger so easily on the montage.

6. If 'Surya' is actually the lead and a romantic angle, it would make Agastya's return impossible which we are all hoping for.

My take - Agastya is Surya. There is no other favorable way out. If they make Surya sametao all the raitas phailoed by Agastya it will make the OG lead less likable.

If they would show Agastya's 'dead' face or not? Highly likely they could show. Still Agastya is Surya. Why? Agastya and Police are working hand -in - hand.

bold1: Actually this thing came in my mind too. If he was really going to die, he would have said marry again ,move on in your life. Be happy in your marital life. But instead he tied her down to his family through his last wish. She has to now take care of her sasuraal

bold2: There has to be a reason why Surya posting in purwaiya village and Agastya accident was written to happen in Same day.

bold3: Love angle toh milega Surya ke sath. It will be even more angsty this time because Imlie will be a widow and widow love affair or remarriage isn't seen in good light in villages like purwaiya. Now audience has to decipher whether this Surya is really Agastya or not
