Whatever you mentioned which I highlighted in bold takes lot of investment in terms of casting. Ekta's shows these days lack quality, they similar to Made In China products manufactured for the masses with no quality.

Adnan is a serious guy but he is not looking fit in Ashok's Role, I have no probs with him not looking handsome as it's historically accurate but atleast he should dress up like a prince, Bindusara had kept him in good condition, he was not necessarily bullied by his brothers but his skilla made them uncomfortable. Ashok was a son of a commoner and thats why less favoured.

Ekta used to have good directors. She is the one who made KZK -1.,Kis Desh, Kahin kisi roz and many more. Even her director inYHM was brilliiant.Sharad Malhotra and Dheeraj Dhoopar both could have done brilliant role.

Not only Ekta ITV k saare shows aise hi hai . They lack quality. I really miss old shows like Madhubala, begusarai, Pratigya, subhagya bati bhava, Ipkknd 1, MJHT,JA, qubool hai etc.

Trust me, Adnan has it in him, just being underutilized from what I can deduce. Maybe he needs proper direction and more workouts, as he was able to show aggression in his previous role, and even in the emotional ones.

I liked Adnaan in katha Ankahee. He is good in that no doubt. But I cannot imagine him as Emperor Ashok. Maybe when they'll show love tracks he'll do better. But colour is not giving enough time to develop the story. Balaam is under danger zone. They pulled off CJL abruptly. Ashokha has to compete with Anupama. Let's see kya hota hai?

Colours might not mess up with Ekta's show and since they are marketing this as one of their biggest collaboration , they might give time I assume
