I mean really?

This is like one of the best romcom I have ever seen from Bollywood.. so very fresh, cute and with utmost repeat value... all of the songs are wonderful as well

Please do watch it at your earliest, available on youtube...

You will love every bit of it... guarantted

Aliaa Bhatt sister Pooja Bhatt is opposite Aamir, and this is her career's best performance.. she just aced the role of a cute spoiled brat and looks too electrifying with her screen presence.

For me Dhkmn is among Aamir's. top 3 movies.

**************

I've honestly never even heard of it until you mentioned it in this thread. But I've never seen anything with Pooja Bhatt and don't even know any movies she's done except for the fact that she made a movie with SRK. I only learned a little about her on this forum because the way people used to go on about her tragic story made me think she died from suicide or illness in the 90s.

OMG seriously?

I mean this is one of the most talked about movies of Aamir from the 90s and is still super popular among the viewers.

How come you are unaware of Pooja Bhatt?

She has no tragic life.. she is a very strong individual and inherited intelligence,, brutal honesty and strong view points from her father Mahesh Bhatt.

In her prime she was like 10 times more gorgeous and sexy than Aalia and was even a better performer than her, do watch her swan song Zakhm to see what an incredible yet very underrated performer she was..

Here is a picture from DHKMN for you

please do watch this movie and let me know how you liked it.

Idk, like I said, I've seen most of his movies from that era but this one I've never even heard of. The ones I've seen mainly featured top actresses like Juhi, Madhuri, Karishma, Urmila, Manisha, Sonali, etc. If there's a lesser B-grade actress, I'd be far less likely to watch.

I'm curious now what others think about this film because I've never seen it mentioned online, whether on IF or even Reddit. Not one I see show up on Instagram either where clips of songs are constantly posted.

I think I used to get her mixed up with Divya Bharti who did die young. But a fan of hers on here told me about her life story that she was very progressive for her time but this got her blacklisted in the industry in an era when heroines were not allowed to be so outspoken and her career ended. This and also that her father had no role in her life and she and her family grew up basically starving or almost penniless without financial support. There were some shocking stories about what type of woman her mother was like as well.

I've heard of Sadak only because of all the negativity towards that disastrous and ill-conceived sequel but I don't even know what the original Sadak (or its sequel) was about. Only that the sequel's trailer was the most disliked video on YouTube.

I'll let you know what I feel about this movie after I watch it.

Pooja Bhatt was NOT a B list actress, she was an A lister, but had a short career of just 7 years as she left the industry with her own will as she was never that much interested in acting.

Lol Sonali was the real B list actress which you have mentioned... Pooja Bhatt was far more successful and popular than Sonali.

Pooja was at par with Manisha in popularity.

There are super hit films on her credit like DHKMN, Sadak and Border and cult classic master pieces like Daddy, Tamanna and Zakhm.

Stories you read about Divya are bullshit... she had very supportive and loving parents and she was quite well to do financially as well.

I am again surprised you haven't seen Sadak as well, it was an amazing film as well with extremely popular songs till date and also was a super hit at the boxoffice.

Sonali was not a leading heroine like the others I mentioned but I still put her in their league because she has classics like Hum Saath Saath Hain and Sarfarosh and it seems a lot of people still like her. For an actress who has not been steadily working in forever, minus her recent comeback, I still see her name get mentioned a lot. In fact, I remember a community where the demand was to find brides that look like Sonali Bendre. And this was only a few years ago so the expectation would be to hear more contemporary actresses like Katrina or Deepika mentioned rather than a 90s actress like Sonali. In comparison, I've never heard of anyone talk about Pooja Bhatt.

Border I've never seen although I know that was a huge hit. But that was mainly a film for the male actors from what I've heard. The female parts I imagine are filler roles. And I've never heard of any of the other movies you mentioned.

Divya is not the one I was talking about who was outspoken but had a broken family with little finances. I was referring to Pooja. A fan of hers and her sister told me they had a very hard upbringing with zero involvement from their father.

Pooja bhat was a A lister in 90s not B lister

and more than Madhuri wall papers Pooja bhat wall papers sold in 90s with kids and adults, people followed her fashion and dressing style.

Bobby deol was her boy friend till he married his current wife (if dharmendra had not refused to allow marraige pooja deol would be bobby wife now, bobby was very much in love with her but broke up as dharmendra did not accept. First it was neelam than pooja who were bobby deol GFs in 90s)

Pooja was 100 times better actress than todays actress and alia bhat

Mahesh bhat divorce her mom in late 197os only as soni razdan was his wife in early 80s only(alia bhat mom)

also mahesh bhat had affair with praveen babi in 1970s only so i doubt her mom was married long to mahesh bhat

also pooja bhat husband used to hit her i had read on SM

Sonali somehow, don't know how, got those 2 or 3 films with Khans but in totality she was always B listed actress of Bollywood.

In no way Sonali was in the same league of actresses like Karishma, Juhi, Kajol etc she was far far behind them...

Sonali was in the league of Shilpa shetty and Twinkle Khanna maximum... I have lived 90s decade and can tell you this for sure with confidence.

It's just that the new kids born during or after 90s at IF likes her in hssh with Salman and her beauty but she was a B lister of 90s. Even the likes of Manisha Koirala, Pooja Bhatt and Raveena Tandon were far ahead of her in popularity and categorization.

Pooja Bhatt got the meatiest part and most screen time among all actresses in Border, though it was a male centric film. Tamanna, Zakhm, Daddy and Phir teri kahani yaad aayi are her master pieces.

In film Prem Deewane Pooja Bhatt got more screen time then Madhuri Dixit.

Dhkmn and Sadak are her movies and are super hits and cults. Maybe Sonali resurfaces due to her beauty and participations in tv shows judging dancing etc which Pooja never did, that's why she is maybe more visible to the new kids, but Sonali as a heorine was a B lister and forsure was behind Pooja Bhatt in popularity during the 90's.

Not at all... Pooja Bhatt had and still have great bond with and support from her father Mahesh Bhatt, infect 60% of the films Pooja has acted in were directed by her father.

Not that I care much about Pooja, but why Dharmendra didn’t approve of her? Don’t tell me uske parampara prathishtha, anushaasan beech mei aa gae, considering he himself started an affair with Hema with a wife and children in picture.

The movie is fantastic. The kind that turned me into n Aamir Khan fan.

It was a remake of Chori Chori which was a remake of It happened one night..All very well made.

This one song is enough to understand their chemistry
