**long post alert**
Anuj, the lost business tycoon.
Anuj Kapadia, you really need help and Urgently. The guy was in love at first sight at 18-19 years, harboured the love (knowing she was married) over 26 years and in the process, tried to move on with no success. He neglected his relations (sister in particular and Kapadias in general), perhaps distracting his mind in work.
He returns to India and re-comnects with his lost love to learn of her traumatic past and her will to move on from her toxic household (which she never actually did). What starts off as rekindled friendship, re-ignites love and hope of a happily ever after with the love of his life and he is willing to sacrifice his other relations for this. Example Malavika-Vanraj issue.
Anuj's happiness knows no bound and is willing to shed everything he possesses in the name of love.
He realises very soon (through the lead up to his marriage) that his lovestory is not as simple as he expected and perhaps, in a desire to have a small happy family proposes adoption to his wife which both accept, agree amd willingly bring into their life a 6-year old Choti Anu.
In his love, he slowly but surely distances himself from ALL his other relations making him extremely ungrateful. Anupama's constant return to the toxic household under the garb of Maayka is not lost on Anuj and he tries explaining to her, softly, then sternly even makes her realise to treasure what she has and not run behind people who do not value her but to NO avail.
The separation from his child and the subsequent happenings leave him shattered with perhaps the fact that the only thing he can hold dear is his daughter.
The subsequent events seal his realisation that if he wants Anupama in his life, he will have to agree to everything that she desires whether he agree with it or not. It may hence be noticed that he lend unquestioning support to every reasonable and unreasonable word of Anupama.
This was shown during the Samar's case track. Episodes 1068 to 1071 to be precise. The guy is seen repeatedly only "Pleading Anupama to Not leave him".
He first starts with "Anupama knows her husband can never do something like that, that he was trying to protect a girl's honour, something that Anupama would have done herself, to saying that Samar was dear to him as well and had he known that the guy had pulled out a gun, he would have taken the hit"
He then expressed to Ankush that he fears Anupama will leave him.
She asked him to stay away from the case while he still used his resources to help them in their quest for justice. When every other option ceased, Anupama fell back on the one trusted support she had asked to stay away.
With Anupama's mistrust or may I say trust of convenience, one thing he perhaps realised that if he wanted Anupama in his life, he had to yield to her wishes, thinking, actions and be resourceful.
Now, Anupama imposed relations on people like Kavya's child on Vanraj, Romil's on Barkha including Malati Devi on Anuj. His pleas of not being in a position to accept the relation fell on deaf ears. Funnily, these self imposed relations were mentioned by Anupama herself as the cause of rift between them.
The separation and subsequent settling abroad and re-starting proved as a distraction from the pain. Now the 32 saal ka pyaar, 5 saal me nasoor ban chuka hain.
He just does Not know how to deal with the woman he loved more than anything or the feeling of encountering her.
He wants a closure but looking at his actions, nothing but distance can heal him definitely not another relationship. He won't be able to offer a healthy, happy love to anyone.
As long as they are in front of each other, he will become a handicap. Only distance can keep both healthy.
