India and Pakistan should make it from their group, and Aus I think should qualify from the other one thanks to their excellent NRR. The fourth spot is the slightly difficult one to predict- it'll be one of SA, Eng or WI, and I think it'll be SA in the end- they can solve their NRR by thrashing Zim, and they should be able to see off SL in home conditions.

Aus v Eng is the big Super Six game- if Eng win that, things could be a bit tricky in the other group.

Probably Ind v SA and Pak v Aus SF.

I made this prediction before the Super 6 started on the other thread- it's been on expected lines.

India should 80% beat South Africa- there was a tri-series before the World Cup with SA, Ind and Afghanistan, and India were comfortably beating SA there.

SA have two-three really good players, but as a team, they're not the strongest.

I'd say watch out for Stolk and Pretorius at the top, Marais in the middle order and Maphaka the bowler. If any of these four have a really good game (100+ or 5fer), SA have a chance, but otherwise, this should be India's game on paper.

India vs South Africa Live Score, U19 World Cup semi-final 2024:

It has been an all-round show from the Indian boys thus far and they will be looking to continue their good work in the chase for a record-extending sixth title. If the batters have buried the opponents under a mountain of runs, the bowlers have delivered wins that have exceeded a minimum of 130 runs in terms of margins. With two centuries and a fifty, the 18-year-old Musheer Khan has lit up the tournament as he sits atop the list of batters with most runs in this edition, amassing 334 runs in five outings at 83.50. Hot on his heels is India skipper Uday Saharan, who has led by example to rake up 304 runs with two fifties and a ton.

Sachin Dhas has also given a fine example of himself, hitting a 116 in India's last Super Six game against Nepal after his side was put in a spot of bother at 62 for three. Each of India's opponents have hitherto found it difficult to score runs off India vice-captain and left-arm spinner Saumy Kumar Pandey, whose enviable economy rate of 2.17 have helped him snare 16 wickets with three four-fors, placing him third in the list of most successful bowlers in this World Cup. Pandey's ability to keep a lid on the opposition batters with suffocating line and lengths in the powerplay have allowed India to dominate the proceedings with the ball in hand.

Pandey's accuracy has also aided the seamers, with Naman Tiwari (9 wickets) and Raj Limbani (4 wickets) thriving from the other end. Besides India's winning run, their recent success against South Africa also makes them favourites to book a place in the final

Though this news is out of context, it is worth sharing--

Jashasvi Jaiswal became the third-youngest Indian to score a double-century in Test cricket and the first left-handed batter since 2009.

Yashasvi Jaiswal, one of the three stars from India's series-levelling win in Visakhapatnam, revealed that he had a conversation with India's greatest ever, Sachin Tendulkar, after his record knock of 209 against England. Yashasvi's double century, coupled with Shubman Gill's maiden ton batting at No. 3, helped India set a record target of 399 before Jasprit Bumrah completed a haul of nine wickets to fold England for 292 runs and script a 106-run win in the second Test match of the five-game series.

I saw your prediction and how it became a reality by the end of Super Sixes.smiley20

PAK wobbled a little though in their final game. But all is well now.

What is your prediction for the finals?

Cheers..

A warm welcome from the Willowmoore Park in Benoni, which will play host today to the first semi-final of the U19 World Cup between India and South Africa. India were amongst the hot favorites even before the tournament started, and have done that reputation no harm by obliterating all their opponents so far in the competition. They have the league’s top two run getters as well in skipper Uday Saharan and Musheer Khan. The hosts South Africa stumbled in one game against England in the group phase, but apart from that have had a solid campaign with four comprehensive wins. India start as the favorites today as well, but the pressure of a semi-final and South Africa’s home advantage can do funny things to these high flying youngsters.
