The issue was that MJ treated Zaid far better than she treated her own self. She’s the opposite of Ayra in that respect. Ayra loves but love is not something she places above her own respect.
The moment MJ found out this guy was not interested in her, she could have walked out. But her ego didn’t let her. She dragged this game for so long - making it about “winning” him - that falling in love with him ended up being her collateral damage. Now she has to live with that additional pain too.
Zaid made no promises to her from day 1. He’s obviously in the wrong here. OF COURSE he’s wrong. But she had a way out too, which she was too afraid to take. In fact she wanted to but kept getting shut up by her dad. For all her posturing, MJ is in fact not strong at all. She was weak in that moment and it cost her. Because now the price of leaving Zaid became too much for her to bear.
Theoretically yes but if you see the initial episodes, her divorce really shattered her.. Bec it was divorce plus cheating and that too with her friend..
Better shows have explored it well how cheating destroys a woman's confidence and they are left grappling with what did i lack?? Add to that her husband repeatedly taunting her that no one could love her
Strength doesn't come when you want.. It takes time to get up after being punched... Though badar completely omitted Mubashira's growth but we can assume that she had it when she finally decided to let zaid go..
As for ayra valuing her respect more than her love.. I agree to that.. But again her scenes were so badly plotted that i still don't get the feeling that ever loved zaid to begin with.. I wish we got to see a little of this love between zaid and ayra so that their dialogues make a little bit more sense...
