Murtasim wears his emotions on his sleeve/is expressive. Zaid is emotionally stunted/not good at expressing emotions.

Murtasim is a leader. Zaid is a (reluctant) follower. Zaid is in the shadow of his more charismatic, domineering father

No one will dare cut Murtasim down to size/show him his place the way Zaid's father does to him.

Murtasim is powerful while Zaid lacks agency.

Just look at the way they dress. Zaid looks like he is a little boy dressed in a grown man's clothes (they are loose, oversized). Murtasim's clothes fit him perfectly which complements how he wears his power with so much ease.

Murtasim is more comparable to Asif uncle (if Asif had empathy) than Zaid.

Even I agree that Wahaj should be careful from here bcz of his star power now. But but it's very unfair to criticise him so much over choosing one role. Many big actors tell that when they choose script, it looks really great. But sometimes while filming they realise it's not going in the right direction or sometimes after release they realise it didn't turn out the way they perceived and many times they think some scripts are not really good but they turn out to be very good. So, I think, actors are bound to make mistakes and the craft will have ups and downs.. But constantly comparing him with Murstasim even if it's in joke, it kind of stereotyping him..

Also please this is a story about 2 marriages which is allowed. It's uncomfortable ofcourse and nobody has to like it but can't really treat as if he is having something out of marriage.. Bcz aise toh Ayra also married a married man Which she should not in the first place

She could be the real MJ in front of Rayyan and Asif but not in front of Zaid

Agreed. Zaid’s wife has been sexually assaulted, obviously he would be pissed and depressed.Like I said, MJ’s love is selfish where the world should only revolve around her and Zaid.

To clarify, I was just responding to a comment that Zaid resembles Murtasim by pointing out how the two characters are very different from each other. My comparison was not intended to shade Wahaj's script or acting choices.

10 episodes in 1 month >>> 20 episodes in 4 months

The two episode per week makes the story move faster which keeps the interest of the audience in the show intact and even generates more buzz...

Just look at the the discussions here, we finished 3 threads in discussing these 10 episodes

If they would have continued airing only one episode per week I swear everybody would have given up on the show and moved on..

I know. I wasn't talking about you. Was talking in general that how his one script choice has become a very big issue. I know you didn't. You were just pointing out the differences between the two characters. I just quoted your post because you nicely mentioned the difference in both characters...

Agreed. Also given 99% of Pak dramas tend to drag at various points in their run, 2 epis per week gives a sense of movement in the plot. The only reason I was able to tolerate the stretched Mariam track in Tere Bin was because of the 4 episode run they had for 2 weeks. Conversely, I dropped 22Q in the middle because of the one episode a week format as often a whole episode would go by without there being any noticeable plot movement.

The Zaid-MJ scene in last episode was very important. It’s Zaid admitting that he should have never brought Ayra into the house and that’s where it all began. He doesn’t care anymore if Ayra leaves him but it’s his responsibility to ensure that she gets justice.

Oh yess how can I forget those extra 4 episodes of tb we got due to eid or something, thank goodness for those extra episodes as they dragged that track so much with all the slomos and fbs...

But I must give it to ary, they don't drag the shows like geo dramas by adding unnecessary fbs and slomos to mint extra $$ it might also be because their though their shows have good potential they don't utilise it by giving the required ss to the leads happened with kuch anakhi mpht and now mein, they hardly give scenes to the lead pair, and focus is mostly on sideys, I dont know what really is their problem
