IM's YT views are at par with TB already. TRP-wise, IM does better than TB on a week-to-week basis.

I think it is very likely IM will exceed TB in terms of views.

But IM does not generate as much chatter on SM or on the ground.

I remember when TB was airing, X (then twitter) was flooded with fan edits. There will be long-ass threads discussing the show and twitter spaces that went on for hours. Even here on IF, TB had 140+ DTs. Before that, the highest # of DT was 14 for ASA.

On the ground (in Pakistan and among overseas Pakistanis), I remember everyone was talking about and discussing TB at weddings, get-togethers, workplace water coolers, in schools. TB, whether you like it or not, left an impact on cultural zeitgeist.

Before TB, the show which I remember generated so much chatter was Mere Paas Tum Ho. MPTH was not big on SM but on the ground, everyone was talking about and discussing MPTH. People can still quote or recognize MPTH dialogs.

With both MPTH and TB, people were crazily invested in what will happen to the main cktrs. I'm not sure if people are as invested in Shibra-FB/Shamir relationship.

IM for all its views do not seem to have left thus far a huge imprint on pop culture. Things may change in the future but right now, it seems like something people consume and enjoy but then forget. My final assessment is that IM will have more views than TB but it will not surpass TB in popularity/craze.

I agree with what you said.

The only thing that is sealed because of IM is Bilal's versatility as an actor otherwise it may be remembered just as a hit drama over the years.

I don't know whether audience was as crazy for him before. I've only watched PKS when it was airing on TV, all other shows of him I've checked after PKS only.

During PKS online audience was more into Yumna than him. I used to feel bad because I found his performance way better than her.

Ohh MPTH was next level one drama that even my husband watched with me 2 Takkey ki ladki and that pink nightie …boss the outrage was real even in India! TB - idk what the writer was thinking by showing MR as the way forward..if only they kept it going as a Taming of the shrew thing..it would have made sense if Meerub organically fell in love with Murtasim..but they had to ruin everything ..I’m not even sure for what!! Ishq Murshid is a David Dhawan comedy…it may not leave pop culture impact..but atleast it’s a clean show and can rewatch scenes after a while as well..with TB I could never go back and watch these two just because of the sour taste it leaves in my mouth with the eventuality of it all and I hate Yumna’s caked up makeup like nobody blended her foundation properly ..it’s jarring..
