they drag the whole show unnecessarily then abruptly end everything in the last episode without tying up the loose ends ..

Yes, it's possible. TB got 18+ TRPs for just two weeks as far as I remember. IM is consistently doing better if we consider week to week ratings.
Only the pair of Tere Bin was more talked about than that of IM otherwise praise wise Bilal is unanimously praised by everyone. IM has better dialogues as well. If we talk about standalone scenes & not overall plot IM is way better.
Editing needs to be taken care of though.
