I had hoped and predicted that Kiara would win for Satyaprem ki Katha, but genuinely wanted Alia to win, just to witness her hubris induced self-sabotage moment . Despite knowing her history Prithviraj chauhan kwk dumb moments or the fact that she is 11vi fail, I always thought she's very cunning with shrewd as hell mentor like Kjo by her side, so it's hard to believe that she was dumb enough to lobby an award for a film which was one of the biggest underperfomer of the year and where she was arguably the weakest link. With one PR stunt she not only exposed herself , diluted her own past and future wins/achievements, her husband Ranbir's deserved win and has done irreparable damage to Filmfare's already floundering credibility.

It's not anyone's fans that are responsible for this level of outrage, this is Alia's and Kjo's own doing. Kiara should have won, but her ultra fragile wouldn't have allowed her to lose to someone like Kiara, or miss out on a photo opp with hubby she wanted to use this victory to compensate for her lack of DP level blockbusters, ATBBs, the embarrassing national award shared win with Kriti and ofcourse to make up for the fact she was royally overshadowed by Ranveer in Rocky Rani. Oh Aloo keep up the FOMO fuelled stunts coming .

Rani's film didn't do well at the box office. The Filmfare Best Actress Popular is usually for hit movies. I can't recall the last time a flop got the Best Actor Popular award. Kiara might be technically a better pick, but since her performance didn't get as much love, I guess Alia rightfully bagged the deserving award.

Alia Bhatt was EXTREMELY cringe-worthy in Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani.

I just remember her keep saying to Ranveer Singh in the film....."TUM KYA HO YAA?!?" ("YAA" for "yaar")

She was nothing spectacular in rocky rani. Rani M and even Kiara performed better than her last year.

This is why I love social media. They don't allow false narratives. In the past - Alia deserved her awards for Raazi and Gangu, but whenever she throws her weight around and is undeserving - she rightfully gets called out. Imagine limiting comments on such a moment like this what an extremely sad place to be....to me this reeks of insecurity and guilt

Mark my words - that day is not far when Alia will deserve to win and will end up losing. On a human level, I do fear for her stability because I don't think she can handle failure very well, she already seems very on edge as it is.
