He said it to Vidya in one of the last week episodes. I think the scene started with him asking vidya why Armaan is taking Ruhi to therapy and asked her not to involve Armaan too much wit Ruhi, as it isn't his responsibility and it will affect his marriage. He said this dialogue after.

But obviously, selfish vidya loves in her dadi pleasing delulu world.

It's simple, abhira will sacrifice laddu (armaan) for ruhi. That's the fb they showed from abhira's pov. Ruhi will get armaan but won't be happy as puja ki thali fell down, which was arranged for her happiness. Parallel scenes was madhav's dialogue to armaan about losing his happiness for vidya's sake. It was also foreshadowing upcoming track. Armaan will ignore abhira, concentrate on ruhi, by the time he realises, he would lose a friend in abhira.(Few days back he was crying for abhira's friendship.).Armaan seems genuinely happy only with abhira. Maasa & parivar ke chakkar mein happiness kho dega & loneliness milega especially if rohit returns toh isko koi puchega bhi nahi not even ruhi, she is very image conscious. Woh pati ke rehte armaan ke peeche nahi jayegi in front of family like armaan does now. Na family usko armaan ke paas jaane dengi

Abhira ke sapne fulfill honge, I feel yuvraj ko jail mein abhira hi bhejegi, & that will be her first case, backed by dev maybe. Armaan will realise he is left behind & dev is filling his place as friend in abhira's life.
