I think OST scenes were used as fillers because they didn't shoot enough MJ-Zaid moments bonding as a couple in Turkey and getting the feels. This lines up with my theory that MJ-Zaid as endgame is a retcon. In the OG script, imo MJ leaves Zaid. But mid-shoots, they changed it to MJ-Zaid as endgame. The last scenes to be shot is the Turkey trip - that's where we get that line hinting at a past relationship, the rain scene, the pool scene. That's why Azeekah was so pressed and mentioned on-set politics in her rant.

If there was no Turkey trip, how were they going to execute the scenes back home with Asif and Ayra? That required Zaid and MJ to be MIA. Wahaj did say they film alternate endings in his interview with that showbiz prime guy. It was on the set of Mein I think but must have been early on in filming.

Hmmm… wouldn’t be the first time a drama has done this. Its possible. Even now the reactions are pretty divided - Ayra sympathizers vs MJ sympathizers 🤷‍♀️

Personally, the way I feel this drama’s last third has been handled - either way it would have left people wanting. The concept and its potential is much better inside our own heads than the actual translation on screen.

I feel that was the script. There was no allowance for anything romantic. Nothing came from Hania’s side. Even at the end, it never was that romantic. I felt they looked good in the ost scenes and especially the music video they did together.

I think there was a Turkey trip written. And they would have shown a light softening from Zaid side but not necessarily romantic attachment. But I think the line on them having a past, the rain scene and pool scene were added to try to give their endgame status some depth. The pool scene had no dialogues. The rain scene had so much potential but the lines seemed improvised and it ended way too soon. More time was spent on Ayra moping crying contorting herself in her room. The OST scenes were added to show that they spent time together in Turkey bonding - sipping coffee, laughing, dancing in the moonlight. This is supposed to be the sum all of MJ-Zaid romance and relationship development in Mein.

far be it from me to rain on anyone’s parade 😉 , but sex while having the flu is only for extremely married couples 😂 Not how I imagine MJ wants her first time with Zaid lol

but tomorrow’s a new day and a new episode so who knows 😁

My thoughts exactly - although I don’t know about the accuracy of the script change thing.

During the episode while watching I just got the vibe that they condensed all they had into one episode 🤷‍♀️ and instead of focusing on their past, their early marriage issues, any meaningful conversations - they resorted to using the OST. I really wanted to see what their dynamic is like during a conversation. They have so much to talk about but we never get to see it! Other than MJ having strong game and Zaid finally “seeing” her , it didn’t lead to any deep meaningful scenes which tied to their past history. Zaid still hasn’t apologised for his behavior. And their scenes are so short too. Wahaj barely gets to talk 🤦🏻‍♀️

it’s just frustrating for me. Why waste so much screen time at Asif house on Ayra, Asif’s office, Ayra’s PHONE, now Rayaan - when you can actually focus on the relationship growth in Turkey. It does seem a bit rushed and condensed - which is why I think the writer is just gonna forget about everything and wrap this story up in a couple more episodes.

before this episode I would have agreed. But what MPHT lacked in chemistry, it made up for the wholesome conversations Maheer and Saad had as they grew towards each other. Maheer slowly inching towards him and little by little breaking down his insecurities that she could never love him. Her reassurances which gave Saad confidence in his love. Them solving their family problems together. Being a team. Taking turns fighting for each other.

I absolutely agree about the lack of chemistry but I just feel at least the lead couple there got proper bonding scenes over the entire course of the story. Actual meaningful conversations about their past present and future. In Mein, it feels like they barely scratch the surface of some genuine connection and then move on to the revenge saga 🤦🏻‍♀️ So rushed. Let us sit in that moment with the characters. But no. We don’t get that.
It feels lacklustre because of the way it’s been handled

Just compare the moment when Zaid asks MJ to sit and for them to just talk. It just reminded me of the Saad Maheer scene where she’s waiting for him on the couch and he comes and wakes her up. They have a proper scene where they’re talking and remembering the past and suddenly Areeb comes up and saad stops talking. And Maheer very pointedly says why talk about him when we can talk about us? So the scene itself screamed growth. Chemistry or no chemistry lol. In Mein I feel like we went from spot A to spot B but then we skipped a lot of stops on the way. Some healthy conversations which needed to happen

This is coming from a person who didn’t even LIKE MPHT 🤦🏻‍♀️ I can’t believe I just defended it 🤢

If Asif really wanted to cause problems between Zaid and Ayra, he should have told him what Ayra did. By locking her up, he made her a victim again. All Asif’s actions do is make Zaid feel guilty and therefore more obligated towards Ayra. Are we just running around in circles now?

I agree with ur point.Imo,the OST scenes(10 secs) introduced in today's episode emphasize the shifting dynamics of their relationship(its not a tangible scene in the Mein story world).Progressing from companionable silence, they've now evolved into good friends engaging in discussions. This trip is like their first real shot at some quality time together. They never really had this chance before or even if they had, they weren’t in a good place during those times.

U know what, each of us has crafted personal theories in our head and we r trying to persuade one another of our interpretations 😊
