I feel that was the script. There was no allowance for anything romantic. Nothing came from Hania’s side. Even at the end, it never was that romantic. I felt they looked good in the ost scenes and especially the music video they did together.
before this episode I would have agreed. But what MPHT lacked in chemistry, it made up for the wholesome conversations Maheer and Saad had as they grew towards each other. Maheer slowly inching towards him and little by little breaking down his insecurities that she could never love him. Her reassurances which gave Saad confidence in his love. Them solving their family problems together. Being a team. Taking turns fighting for each other.
I absolutely agree about the lack of chemistry but I just feel at least the lead couple there got proper bonding scenes over the entire course of the story. Actual meaningful conversations about their past present and future. In Mein, it feels like they barely scratch the surface of some genuine connection and then move on to the revenge saga 🤦🏻♀️ So rushed. Let us sit in that moment with the characters. But no. We don’t get that.
It feels lacklustre because of the way it’s been handled
Just compare the moment when Zaid asks MJ to sit and for them to just talk. It just reminded me of the Saad Maheer scene where she’s waiting for him on the couch and he comes and wakes her up. They have a proper scene where they’re talking and remembering the past and suddenly Areeb comes up and saad stops talking. And Maheer very pointedly says why talk about him when we can talk about us? So the scene itself screamed growth. Chemistry or no chemistry lol. In Mein I feel like we went from spot A to spot B but then we skipped a lot of stops on the way. Some healthy conversations which needed to happen
This is coming from a person who didn’t even LIKE MPHT 🤦🏻♀️ I can’t believe I just defended it 🤢
