I think zaid ka ego hurt ho gaya after mubashira says no to him..so he distanced himself from her and her family and tried to keep a formal relationship and wanted to avoid them(he wasn't keen on attending her anniversaries party)

Also when ayra refused to marry him, he agreed to getting married to Mubashira in a day to show her that he's moving on..

That's what he's is defo a grey character but sadly his arc and storyline hasn't been explored to show his various shades bas guilty dikhate hai use

So yeah he may have some of those qualities you mentioned but he’s equally vicious and vindictive when he needs to be.

what was stopping him from giving MJ divorce? Was he waiting for Aira Yes so he can divorce MJ? Why agree for two wives scenario when he can / could divorce MJ ?

Yes he is morally grey ! He is no saint but I only said Zaid minus drama he is transparent unlike others , he won’t sugarcoat anything.

He gave asif and MJ time to agree on his second Nikkah. Also, yes he was waiting for Ayra and who, ultimately, forced his hand. Otherwise he was ready to burn all bridges.

yep agree about the lack of sugar coating. He always means what he says. He’s very direct about everything.

Ayeza and Wahaj need to work together again in a better story. Their chemistry is the only reason ppl are rooting for MJ-Zaid despite low screen time and no proper romance.

There was also that scene between Zaid and MJ sitting and talking on the bed after their Valima that comes to mind. Zaid asks MJ (something to the effect of) why girls say one thing and do another thing the next minute. I kind of felt like he was saying it to her too. For me that scene he was frustrated with Ayra and MJ was very sweet there. He couldn't share it with her obviously.

I had interpreted it as MJ not being that kind of confusing girl. She doesn't subscribe to the concept of love until very recently....even then she has no idea how love can be devastating, she doesn't have that wiring right now to understand how much Zaid has suffered in his love for her. She will get there. Being that kind of girl, she's very straightforward in love, in spelling out what she wants from him...how sweetly she told him she needed quality time with him and he just dropped everything❤️...that would never happen with Ayra. She will pout that he never thinks about her, he doesn't love her etc. Not MJ. There's only one reason for her to hide her true feelings from Zaid and that will be when she feels he will be better off without her tagging along...not because he hurt her or she wants him to beg her on his knees. That will never happen with them, I feel. That's why Zaid feels so free when he's with her...she makes life so very easy for him. ❤️
