I don't know what others think but my interpretation is that he dropped this because slowly and steadily he is becoming Abhira Sharma - i feel, it's more like a sign of how he has begin to adopt Abhira's demeanor and cuteness. He starts to take her as his good friend who he can't leave - again signalling it to tomorrow's episode precap - where they are going to take one step ahead to become friends.

PS- I would love to know what others think on this, I was going to ask the same.

On the topic would also like to bring up that though Abhira is starting a friend relationship with him, she too already has some feeling for him and thats why she remembered her panipuri eating memories with Armaan and she was trying to shut down those memories.

Well he had taken the marriage oath seriously. Once he agreed to the marriage he had no intention of going back. Even if Ruhi was still in his heart at the time of marriage he did not do a fake marriage.The deal topic was raised by Abhira and he just agreed to it to pacify Abhira to listen to him and come with him to Udaipur. So the dialogue in one way also reveals his same stance. Additionally he is now quite comfortable with Abhira so such dialogues are coming out in open.

Can't say vidya is jealous of armaan, she does love him & will never wish anything bad intentionally.
