It picked up in the evening. 2cr on first day is very encouraging. I was afraid that it shouldn't collect in lacs which won't give it any chance whatsoever. Even Andhadhun opened at 2cr. The reviews are positive. The budget only 30cr. Fingers crossed for this one. Hoping for a massive saturday growth. My review coming shortly.

It is doing so well, it is not the type of movie that opens big, it is a type of movie that gradually grows, and become a hit because of WOM. Looking at the trend dont be surprised today it gets 4-5 crores. Sachnik says now it already had 1.2 crores for the morning.

The film's budget is 30 crores, and it has already recovered its budget via OTT rights, which were sold for a whopping amount of 60 crores to Netflix.

Sriram's superhit Andhadhun also had a similar opening. So, to answer your question, it's not going to be his ''Lootera'' hopefully.

I remember some users opening a similar thread for Vicky's Sam Bahadur, calling it a flop even before its first weekend. But now, the film is a legit superhit, and that person had to eat sh!t and disappear 🤣

Watched it today and loved it. Brilliant performances by Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi.
