Thanks for this beautiful thread I can't believe it is 15 years already. I was really young when the show started. I feel old now.

My journey with Yeh Rishta started with Cape Town track. I loved that track, especially the way Naitik chose to go with his wife. That was one thing not very common in ITV. Then I went back and watched the older episodes. Akshara Singhania had the best and complete growth as a FL. She started as a naive young girl. And transitioned into a loving wife, a supportive mother and most importantly, a successful woman. Then came Naksh and Naira. And Naira-Naitik's bond is my fav in this show. Naksh was also the best brother one could get. Kaira had one of most beautiful courting period acc. to me. KeeSh as a couple also had great understanding and depth. Then came Akshara Goenka and one of the most conflicting phase of Yeh Rishta began. But even during that period, makers gave us Abhinav. And AkshNav's relationship, for me is another momentous one in ITV. They broke the most abused cliché of ITV that first love is the only love. AkshNav stood for healing, second chances and love that surpassed death. Abhinav dedicated his life for Akshara and Abhir. He lived for them. And Akshara loved only him till her last breath. She brought up their symbol of love in a world of happiness. And lived in Abhinav's memories for 22 years. AkshNav ke pyar ki nishani Abhira is a carbon copy of her papa and her sherni Nani. She stands for the right, ready to fight against any wrong but never crossing the line. She wants to be a lawyer like her mother, a dream her parents once had and like a good jawyer, she argues with all valid points. Abhira Sharma brought the show up from its miserable days and gave it a new life with her charm and strength. Armaan is not a perfect guy. He is scarred by his past, weighed down by responsibilities. AbhiMaan story would be Abhira healing Armaan's wounds and making him a better version of himself. Abhira Sharma is continuing the journey her great grandmother Akshara Singhania started.. a journey of four generations.
