Yeah it's not fair but it will bound to happen as both are played by same character
and that's very unfortunate. People don't even think of hurting someone's sentiments before passing off such comments relentlessly. It sounds more rude when you're attached to the non-debut character which is not really loved as much as the debut one. We all know no other character can ever replace the aura of the debut character but downgrading the character when it's literally absent (like you said) makes it even more triggering for people who are emotionally invested
