“Success” is too broad. Their idea of success is very different than what it actually means

Not a flop ..but underperformed. An Average grosser!
Yes, that's what I remember reading. I feel like had it come out in a less competitive year, it would have done better.
I didn’t come up this thread until I’m seeing nonsense like this. Where is the source or criteria to this ????? I can call on my list what I like as an ATBB. Soon I’m making my own list too. Regarding Tiger 3 Taran said it’s a success n boi said it’s a HIT. So that’s ends that debate.Originally posted by: Filmistan
It's box-office.
Pre-BOI, Komal and Taran were the only two credible trade analysts.
Either way, I agree. These "verdicts" are always biased. Just post the damn figures and be done with. You have too many "verdicts" like semi hit, super hit, blockbuster, super bb, AtBb, etc., that it seems a bit whimsical.
Komal hasn’t been doing trade since years and no one cares on what he gives movies and where is the link or tweet ???? and some people here without proper criteria just ok with the list because it suits them lol 😂 yet when we say Tarah said in Tiger 3 then some come with nonsense n right now making up own scenarios. As said I’m going to have my own site soon. 🔜

He is the most reputed trade analyst ..working since 30 years.
Here is the link : https://filminformation.com/featured/film-weather-2023-30-december-2023/
Five of the 228 theatrically released films proved blockbusters. They were Pathaan, The Kerala Story, Gadar 2, Jawan and Animal. Besides the five aforenamed films, 13 were successful at the turnstiles. They were Oh My God 2, Dunki, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, 12th Fail, Zara Hat Ke Zara Bach Ke, Dream Girl 2, Fukrey 3, 1920: Horrors Of The Heart, Satyaprem Ki Katha, Salaar (dubbed), Sam Bahadur, IB 71 and Mrs. Chatterjee Vs Norway
I don’t think Komal got that memo then.Originally posted by: prerna4rishav
From trade perspective, success means when all involved parties are in a profit zone out of the movie. But yes they should’ve considered what you think ‘success’ means which I think Komal might’ve missed.
Tiger 3 isn't in successful movies list... Which means it's a flop
