The shows coming off late are showing matured relationships quite a lot. The ones which came in 2000s and became rage back then, all mostly had toxic relationships. BoF, Playful Kiss, Fated to love you, Secret, etc all had really toxic relationships.

Watch Boys over flowers or Heirs if you want to see actual toxicity 🤣🤣🤣 Boys over flowers is toxic but addictive. It hooks you in such a manner that you keep watching despite getting irritated with all the toxicity lol. Kaisi yeh yariyan was loosely inspired from that.

Good thing about Korean Shows is that they don't have seasons and they end after 16-20 episodes. So even if there is toxicity, it goes away quickly.

Try watching Kill me heal me. It's a very very different kind of show. You might have never seen a show like that. Plus non toxic and leads have really healthy relationship.

Oh I abs detest that show bofsmiley36 I haven't seen worse in kdramas . Kyy was very different , thankfully, only the concept of a rich boy & his 2 friends bullying their college mates was taken ..

Kdramas were refreshing due to the non toxic & simple content. Although some tag it as "unrealistic", that's what I love..something I can look upto , not rack my brains over it 😉

I'd love to watch kill me heal me but it's on viki & I don't have the subscription..may be ill take it at a later stage .

I abs love the no nonsense women frm kdrama world..some of them r so refreshing to watch ..if one of the leads is like that , I enjoy it. Like there was this show run on, simple but quirky leads ..I still remember how she broke up with her rich boyfriend coz his father humiliated her over her status ..she asks him to deal with his family first as she'll not take any shit from them

BOF lol 😂🤣 It was good and kinda relatable in 2009 era. Now it would look ridiculous considering much progressive other dramas portray women.

Why don't you try watching on Kissasian and Dramacool websites? They are free of cost and all shows are there. I used to watch all dramas on these two only before Netflix wave came.

How I wish even Indian webseries are made in the format of Paki shows and Kdramas. 20 episodes of an hour each and progressive love stories. Imagine shows like IPKKND, Madhubala etc. in 20 episodes showing what they actually wanted to show with that trope of intense love and cliche scenes lol

Thx I'll Def try these websites smiley27

The reason I didn't like bof was the fl ..again lol

She was acting as if barking on everyone plus her family was really toxic. If she loved this guy , no matter how toxic he was , stick to him..but she was going around with his friend too ..what kinda love wS that. Eeww. When therez an option of a perfectly nice guy who loves her , why would she choose the hero whose mother is a witch & he lacks the guts to take a stand for her ..anyways I just read the story on the net after a while as I couldn't stand her at all..

On the contrary kyy is the only itv show which i find close to a kdrama in terms of positivity , soulmate love & great supporting chars. With some amazing music of course.

Ah! Madhubala & ipk had their own charm smiley16 for a definite period of time they did amazing . N the fact that they cud go on till like..a year , a year and half they sustained really well..ipk & kyy r my fav love stories ..toxic yeah but whatever ..the hero shows growth..

Hi!

Its wonderful to have a Korean drama duscussion thread!

I'm new to K-dramas.

My sis suggested we watch...just to get an idea abt the hype abt it, n we both promised ourselves that we won't get hooked.

So,

We binge watched:

King the land

Crash landing on you

Business proposal.

Now i'm crazy over these romcoms.

Now i'm going for True beauty.

Any suggestions?

I prefer mushy mushy romcom...no stress, only lovey dovey feelings.

Hello.

I hope you don't mind me recommending some!

True beauty was cute but many people ended up with second lead syndrome. Lol.

You can watch it if you want!

I would suggest Strong Girl Bong Soon, Whats wrong with secretary Kim, My secret Romance, Go oh starry night, When Camelia Blooms, I need romance 3.
