Isn't Rani the only actor/actress to not only win both the leading and supporting categories together in the same year but also the only actress to win the Critics award and Best Actress award in the same year?

Vidya and that filmfare editor share the same mother tongue .. he’s biased towards her .. she should have never won for Tumhari sulu and Kahaani ..

The movie was too ahead of its time though, especially in India. Very similar to the reception Silsila got except Silsila was an outright flop in India, only doing well overseas.

Kajol's main competition for K3G would have been Amisha Patel in Gadar since Gadar was the highest grossing film in India and the second highest grossing worldwide after K3G that year. Amisha's lack of a win is why Filmfare gave her the special Filmfare Award so if Kajol hadn't won, most likely Amisha would have won.

As for Kajol's main competition against MNIK, Aishwarya for Guzaarish would have been the most likely winner except that film was a flop. The only other likely winner was Vidya for Ishqiya but if she had won for that, she would have won 4 times in a row.

Rani won IFFA for KANK though .. I remember voting non stop for her .. times when votes actually mattered .. KANK is my fav performance of Rani .. even more than Black .. she just used her eyes throughout the movie to convey her emotions .. it’s a masterful performance

I would say she deserved it for that sleazy dirty picture just for the **** show smiley42smiley41 Paa again was arranged by that editor only .. it’s the same editor who has bias for Kajol, Alia etc

Interesting ( the more you know) 😉

So in 2011 for 2010 films when it was MNIK vs Ishiquiya I bet the editor was in a pickle 😂

Kajol won the Filmfare and some other award shows didn’t even nominate her 😂. An people will still say the award show issue started in 2020 😂 a joke. If it’s their favorite winning every year they won’t say anything

I think Rani's performance in Black is the best ever acting performance by an actress in Bollywood and same for Mr. Amitabh Bachchan in Black. That was a movie filled with BEST performances. I think she was great in KANK but Black, Saathiya, Hum Tum, Yuva are her best performances for me.

2004 was a banner year for her. And had she not won BSA for Yuva, she would have won that for Veer-Zaara. She was nominated for both.
