She befriended an Israeli tourist couple staying at Chowgan Mohalla, and they were initially friendly to her. They invited her to visit them in Petah Tikva. When she mentioned her dream of touring all Middle Eastern countries like Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Israel, Palestine, etc., the couple corrected her, stating there is no country called Palestine. She insisted otherwise, explaining its historical existence. Suddenly, their tone changed, and they began shouting, accusing her of antisemitism and demanding she leave 'their' city (a city in Himachal). She clarified that it's her land and country, but they continued shouting, claiming it as their home and dismissing her presence as a roach/rat. Finding their behavior absurd, she laughed, thinking they had gone mad, and decided to leave. She didn't contact or meet them again. This incident occurred before covid and I saw some one share a similar incident on twitter 2-3 months ago.

This sounds oddly familiar…. Quite similar to what Palestinians say happened to them…

I’ve heard of similar incidents in himachal, goa and now even Bangalore… there are quite a few Israeli supporters on this forum… hopefully they can see how Israelis are treating their fellow locals Indians while they themselves are the visitors….

get expelled… move to land where people are gullible enough to welcome you…., take over hosts property/create unrest….
There is a pattern to their behavior

Strangely enough there were reports where Israeli tourist were calling Himachal there home and Indians outsiders 😄

My goodness, they pull this stunt in every country it seems.

I got what you are conveying and please do not take it as a personal criticism par this subconscious slip of tongue of where North Indians are shorthand for 'Indians' and rest of the population is qualified by their regional identity i.e "South Indians" "North East walo" pretty much sums everything about us as a country.

Baki on Korea, racism is bad, colonialism has effed up everyone's value systems.

Why would you assume I am terming just North Indians as Indians here?smiley3 (Not an angry question, I suppose you genuinely misunderstood my post)

By Indians I mean exactly that: "the people of this country" (incl North+South+East+West).

I am not implying it is "only" North Indians who view people from the North East/South differently. I have seen enough South Indians make fun of people from NE.

Meanwhile people from the NE have better English (at least the ones studying in DU do), so they look down upon others in that aspect.

Infact, even South Indians have very strong opinions about North Indians.

Also, you must be aware of Shiv Sena's stance on people from South, UP/Bihar.

This is the article I read. I also came across a post on X app about a guy threatening an Indian girl to leave Himachal, claiming it's 'their' land. If I find it again, I will share it. I'm posting this to avoid being called a liarsmiley36

First time I'm hearing all this. Quite shocking that such incidents r not reported in mainstream media.

If all this is true then government should look into how many Israeli settlements r created in different parts of country n restrict foreigners purchasing lands.

People should also report such incidents to local police n media.

There are two Indians in Korean bands now. Shriya Lenka in Black Swan (?) and Aria in X:IN.

Infact Aria has become very popular suddenly, esp in China. But I dont think the band itself is "that" famous in Korea (plz correct me if m wrong).

Aria got a lot of attention coz itne Indians hai abhi Kpop fandom me that they starting liking her posts and supporting her coz she is Indian and seeing that the company started focusing more on hersmiley37

(But Black Swan only has non-Koreans I think. So it will be difficult for them to be accepted in Korea.)
