Why is Wahaj in the promotions? He feels like a side character at this point. Is it just because he’s famous because we aren’t getting his point of view at all, lol. We hear Ayra’s feelings much more than his. So is the battle between him and his dad done just like that? I guess he’s back home and has no choice but to abide by his rules (a position that Ayra put him into but is now fighting him on). I still don’t understand why we have no idea what a central character is thinking.

I did notice her saying that she knows her so well. They go way further back than him and Ayra. That whole conversation was interesting because it was Zaid who came to her to talk. He also followed her to the table to talk some more. And the way he was looking at her at the table, he seemed a bit smitten.

It felt like he was analyzing her until the party. Her speech at the party kind of got him. Does he believe her speech that she actually loves him or was he just appreciating how she was handling the situation? It wasn’t easy for her to be at that party and face everyone. She stayed calm and didn’t lose her cool and I think it surprised Zaid. This is a different side to MJ. She’s always been impulsive and lost her cool easily having little control over her emotions. Zaid is used to seeing that side of her. Maybe that’s why he said that he knows this isn’t her nature. Even if he doesn’t believe that she loves him, I think he appreciates the effort. Yeah she kind of stole the limelight and loved reading those comments out loud. Zaid didn’t mind that though because perhaps he realizes that him and Ayra put her in that situation and she handled herself well.I also noticed how guilty Zaid looked every time MJ acknowledged how lucky Ayra is to have his love.

I think you hit the nail on its head that he’s appreciating her efforts. He’s indulging her and choosing to believe the best in her because it’s more in line with his guilt and the position he put Mj in. I still don’t think he buys it entirely - he did clock MJ pretty pointedly when she yelled BLACK COFFEE at the breakfast table. So he’s seeing some slip ups but he’s choosing to see what he wants to see. Like he told Ayra. He advised her to just turn a blind eye to it all but of course Ayra can’t pretend like that. It’s not the same for her.

He also doesn't appreciate the shares surprise by MJ. Maybe he's more aware than he's letting on but choosing to ignore it to keep things as uncomplicated as possible.

MJ and Ayra lol. God I don’t know who’s more obsessed with who at this point. Ayra having her own insecurities and MJ constantly making them both feel bad by bringing up their love lol. Nicely played by MJ 😂 It’s totally working. She also never leaves any opportunity to ask about Ayra: “Did you and Ayra fight? Did Ayra not like what I said? Does Ayra need medicine? Does Ayra not like me joining the office?” Lol

She’s just relishing in causing trouble which is fun to see. But again, her motivations are dark. Zaid is just choosing not to see that right now. Eventually though, he will.

Ohh yes. I am loving Ayeza's looks. She looks gorgeous in everything in this drama. Be it hairstyle, make up, clothes..

agreed. Ayeza is gorgeous and I love her styling in Mein. It reminds me of Blair Waldorf in Gossip Girl. Very preppy and diva. Literally all her outfits are things I’d want to steal from her wardrobe lol.

Having said that, however, I feel she left everyone behind in the show a bit? She looks much better with wahaj in the promotions and the Maria B photoshoot than she does in the actual show. It’s hard to put a finger on why but I think she left wahaj a little behind in terms of styling and they very rarely match. She almost looks like she stepped out of a magazine while he just looks regular. I think she did go a little overboard with the makeup, grey lenses and the hair styling a bit. All that extra stuff does age her a bit unfortunately. She looks more her age and younger in Jaan e Jahan. So I’m guessing it’s definitely the makeup and styling to blame a bit for that. I like her much better in her vulnerable scenes where she has no contacts and less makeup and when she’s wearing something non preppy. You see the vulnerable girl behind the mask.

I also think the contrast between MJ’s look and Ayra’s is very deliberate and clever. MJ has a lot of vanity when it comes to her looks and style and it irks her beyond measure why the hell Zaid is just not attracted to her? Like she told Asif that “the entire world is attracted to me but your son isn’t and I don’t understand why!” Even in the latest episode she’s relishing in her vanity reading the comments saying she looked “stunning” “gorgeous” etc etc

Ayra, very pointedly, is NOT that. She is pretty but not into fashion, she wears simple clothes and Azeekah chose a lighter palette for the makeup whereas Ayeza does bolder darker shades. I don’t like Azeekah’s makeup either but I feel this stark contrast between the two ladies is very deliberate. It’s to show that all these superficial aspects hold no meaning for Zaid. For him character and values hold more importance than style and beauty. He’s never gonna be impressed or attracted by MJ’s perfection in beauty and style. Which is something that confused MJ to the extent that she was like he’s gotten me doubting myself ! He wants substance, girl. He’s got his priorities right.

So as much as I love MJ’s wardrobe and style, I feel she needs to work on what’s inside, not the outside.

This show is not deep at all and things should be taken at face value. We give it more credit than due by our analysing when the actual writing is pretty crap lol.

Current facts are still pretty much the same as early episodes of the show:

1. Asif still plotting against his son’s happiness

2. MJ serving her Mein and playing games to win rather than genuinely change

3. Zaid and Ayra in love

thankfully with 2 episodes a week this car crash of a show can hurry up with the plot and end. I’m predicting about 30 or so episodes so hopefully in January it will end.

Actually good if they finish off in another 10 episodes.

Asif is not plotting because he hates Zaid. He just thinks Zaid is foolish in love. He thinks he's doing the best for both his children. Thinking for Kash is in effect also thinking for the business which is important for all three members of his family. MJ is not blackmailing Zaid or his family anymore - which is decent growth for her. Here, Kash is still not sure, Asif is doubtful after the share transfer and Zaid was beginning to trust her till the share transfer. Actually this is the most illogical thing in the show for me. 🤭It's such a stupid move in business.

I feel it's more of pride at the way she conducted herself and he just gravitates towards her. I don't know if he is listening to the public declaration of love- could be, but even without that, her good conduct draws him to her. Even when she invited them for breakfast nicely, he was looking for a way to fit in with the family. I really hope he doesn't feel she betrayed him...it'd be really heartbreaking to build trust and lose it.

Ayra cannot afford fashion, plus she's used to being simple. For some reason, Zaid told her to dress well and be ready for their dinner. He actually appreciates all that. Zaid styling is also not unusual, but he's the guy who does not think twice about giving up everything he has, for his principles. Plus, MJ can always help him out with his wardrobe and he might appreciate it. He wanted Ayra to do his tie...little romantic gestures to feel taken care of...if MJ catches him on the way one day and adjusts his tie, he would feel specially cared for...

Why he is there in this show? Zaid's character is least important, Asal hero toh Asif uncle lagty hain. Zaid is just like a side character who barely has any dialogues. He either says Thank you MJ and manofying arya. Nothing else to do

MJ says to Zaffar that she always has been at first place from childhood, winner and this is her first failure.

She is not only smart but also very good dressing , but has no emotional balance.

She has been given the word PERFECTIONIST with no tolerance for failure 🤨

She is the only one who can talk back to ASif without any fear. She questioned about his parenting when Asif said Zaffar raised you right.

Their combo would have Ace pair Zaid and MJ if there was no Ayra.

I did not say he hates Zaid. I said he does not want his son to be happy with a middle class girl. Remember when Zaid talked about Ayra to him the first time and he found out she was an auditors sister he was like “Kuttay bhi dekh ke paaltay hain” which made Zaid super uncomfortable. He doesn’t care about Zaid’s happiness, he only cares about maintaining the pure rich blood line because of his classism. He destroyed Ayra’s life and he didn’t even know her. Just because his son was interested in her. He’s the worst.

He only likes Kashmala coz she’s easier to control and Zaid isn’t. Also Kashmala wanted to marry a useless guy who was RICH which was the most important thing for Asif. If Kashmala had chosen a middle class boy he would have done the same thing to him like he did to Ayra. He even told Kashmala that he is glad she picked someone from her “own class”…. A disgusting human through and through.
and he’s still going to torture Ayra some more. He’s not done. She’s his bahu now, his son’s wife. But he won’t care.
