You are saying that Vanraj emotionally and mentally tortured her but she herself never knowledge this. For her Vanraj only crime was and is his EMA with Kavya. Warna for her Vanraj are ek achcha aadmi achcha pita and achcha beta. There is no fault in Vanraj for her except EMA.

If vanraj was having ONS then also she would have no problem like they manipulate Kinjal she also would be with Vanraj. She was in very much in love with Vanraj till then she caught him with Kavya on her bed.

Then how come vanraj tortured her for so many years. She got in friendship phase with him after there divorce. She never left a chance in defending him. If Kavya was not in picture and it was just a ONS then she would be happily married to him till now.

With Anuj whenever he asked her to draw boundaries she always had that face till than Anuj didn’t back out on his words. She for once didn’t made them priority on her own.

She never defended Anuj and CA like she defended Vanraj. She never took a stand for CA against baa. Her meek baa baa baa doesn’t count because that didn’t stopped baa from insulting CA. Like she was having the right to treat Anuj whatever way she wanted and decides what is more important or what is not. How come Vanraj didn’t had right to decide on behalf of Anupama. How he was wrong to decide to stop Anupama from going to US. It was for his family too.

For me doing something to a little kid will always be worse than doing something to an adult. Abandoning a kid she adopted from an orphanage and after giving her hopes is among the most evil things shown in the entire series.

Relax. Anupama is mainly hated here which isn’t even 1% of audience. Most of the audience love her. The show wouldn’t have been on top for years if not. She’s getting sympathy from the audience and many are bashing Anuj and Shahs. Makers have to do what they need to keep the show on top.

Here anupama is crictise for ignoring choti ,

Using pallu and not speaking English properly and going to shah

But outside people crictise anupama for running to shah only. Never read comment about pallu and and ignoring choti but phir wahan anupama ki crictise karne ka percentage kam hai

Instead outside people are saying 26 year ka pyaar ek jhakte mein Khatam ho gaya for a choti and people were crictising ki that writer ne marriage ko joke Bana ke rakha Jo anuj ki zindagi mein new new girl aa rahi

They seem to be stuck in a loop of celebrating hardships and garnering sympathy at a time and age when we have grown out of it and do NOT shy down from calling a spade, a spade.

We believe in equality of opportunities (notwithstanding man or woman) and trust in our abilities. A woman is a fighter. Family is the shield that stands up for each other and where everyone contribute to the best of their abilities.

So, when the fundamental reason for her divorce and her subsequent actions did not meet this, there was No way, she could have garnered the same support people gave her during her divorce track.

@ bold - So agree with this point... Over her, I saw the caps of Anupama working in the Shah house kitchen and I wondered, during those days they put up that scene to garner sympathy for a woman who was alone working in the kitchen, being ordered by everyone, not caring about her.. Today they again put that scene in her memory reminiscing about those times, trying to garner sympathy because today she is not able to work in the same kitchen... Toh bhai dikhana kya chahte ho... Us time sympathize karna tha ya ab karna hai.. And this has been the whole story throughout.. People who sympathized with her during the divorce track were the ones who believed she deserved a better life and deserved to be out of that hellhole. How will they sympathize with the woman who cries because she is not being allowed in the same house? People who believe she deserves a life partner like Anuj and not Vanraj, how will they sympathize when she easily gives up on him & keeps him in the last of her priority list.. People who thought she did not deserve children like Toshu and Pakhi but Sammar and Choti, how will they sympathize when she gives up on the same little girl ?? A family that was used to showcase the negative side of society when it comes to women, how will people accept normal bonding, familial functions, and discussions within the same family ?? People who hated Vanraj for the deeds that he has done and wanted him punished, what enjoyment would they find in seeing him humanized even at the cost of your leads... The writing is so weird that I am at at loss of words many times while trying to express myself.. So much contradiction. You know visual medium is very strong and I understand it happens when you see someone cry continuously it hits you.. It happens to me too... But who is responsible for the situation she is in ? Isn't her activities a betrayal to a viewer who would have cheered for her happy life, her growth ... Strange writing..

But Anupama is not getting hate from majority of the Viewers. Everyone still loves and sympathizes with the character. Perhaps only a few people from India forums and Twitter are expressing their hatred towards this character. The number is miniscule of the total number of audience. If she were hated the show would be on the verge of going off air by now....

I find it strange that criticism is seen so negatively. It's healthy for the audience to have diverse views. In fact, one reason I frequent this forum is because there is (usually) no cloying fandom here that will defend a character no matter how terribly they are written or portrayed.

IMHO, it's good to call out bad writing and it's healthy to express dissatisfaction when the quality of a show one likes is being ruined.

I'm sure people who love the main character have enough places to praise and defend her, as many people have pointed out. And I'm glad this forum exists so people who are extremely disappointed with the main character can freely express their views. I hope this forum maintains this freedom.

It doesn't matter if she acknowledged it or not or whatever she did afterwards lmao. It doesn't make what they did right. We already know that she can't draw boundaries when she's wronged - she needed therapy which they didn't show to address her PTSD to actually get out of this Shah house loop. No amount of anyone telling her would do it.
