How dare you not like My perfect Naitik-Akshara?

Oh Wow...
A whole frustration thread of ALL previous seasons.. and here we are... going AbhiM v/s AbhiN.
I guess I will put my OG Akshara capetown arc rant here too..
People who want break from Nav-Manyu fight can join me here...
AH! Finally something apart from Abhinav/Abhimanyu Murdabaad
Welcome to my rant:
I loved the Cape Town arc. I loved every character in Capetown except OG Akshara. And I stopped because I couldn't handle seeing her. There I said it.
Same. Capetown is one of my favorite tracks.
Frankly I felt she was quite stupid. Please keep in mind I only saw the Cape town arc. till Naksh went to India without telling his parents. and BTW i loved his naagin dance.
OG Akshara just came off as unlikeable to me. She could have handled the whole Naithik Naksh thing a little bit more maturely.
I agree both Naitik and AKshara could have handled Naksh's situation way better. Like Dont tell him the exact story but at least clear his doubt about his Dad's involvement in the whole thing
Ok, I understand her not telling Naksh that she was ousted by Bhabhimaa thing. would never poison young kids mind. Naksh hated Naithik because he thought Naithik wanted to get out of the house. The whole time they were in cape Town. there was this forced tension between father and son. which the mother could have lessened.
I think the Capetown track was all about two teams Naitik-Naira VS Naksh-Akshara
Naira was Niatik s Princess. She could do no wrong in his eyes and Naksh was Akshara's golden boy.
It is also why I love the track. They showed a nuclear family dynamics. Quite different from the joint family that Rishta was known for up until that town
When she first comes to Naksh's college as Hindi proffessor, he doubts that his Dad sent her to spy on him.. btw seriously bro.. as if Naithik does not have anything else better to do. She scolds him and all that.. but it all seems weak.
I think Naksh-Naitik always had a strained relationship one of the reason being Naitik was sin coma for the First seven years of Naksh's life. Another was Naksh was everything Naitik and more
And also, Naksh gets away with anything in OG Akshara's eyes. Because he is her Duggu. She was not at all strict with him. So Naithik became bad infront of her.
There was also the gangaur festival where she cries because she missed the joint family. I understand. But I hated it because now Naksh feels that His dad is forcefully making then stay in capetown. In Naksh's eyes, OG Akshara is too weak to change Naithik's horrible decision.
OG Akshara should have been strongly supporting Naithik, and make Naksh understand that Naithik was not as bad as he thought.
Well, she did try making Naithik understand about different ages and how teens react but again, everything is just too soft. Believe me, I would have had bag full of snarky remarks ready to dump on Naithik if he went I was not like this at my day For example, "Really? But I remember my wedding day being torturous because you were jealous of your cousin brother."(Yes, I knew that particular arc, because my sister, who saw the show from episode 1, told me one day.. never saw those episodes though) Naithik was also not tha great. So, it would have been easy to make him realize that Teens react things explosively sometimes, adults should be mature. But nahi. Madam gave up after 2 tries
Bingo Naksh was Naitik's mirror image, another reason for their constant tiffs. Naksh was everything Naitik was at the beginning of the show. A complete brat. I think Naksh reminded Naitik too much of himself for his liking
Naira was a brat too. But Naitik was there for her growing-up years. He saw the toddler. And as a teenage brat.
It was not sprung on him like Naksh was. You know as you wake from a coma one day and find out that little baby you used to carry around is now a 7 year old pampered baby of the house a.k.a your mirror image
So, I guess Naitik knew how to handle Naira in a way he did not know how to handle Naksh. If that makes sense
This is what I was talking about nice parenting with Abhinav and Akshara in the beginning of kasauli track. They both were equal as parents. Akshara was not too strick nor was Abhinav too soft. If Abhir did something bad, they both would be a team and make him understand together. Same way both would celebrate with Abhir.
That equal partnership as parents was not felt in the Cape Town arc. OG Akshara just stands helplessly in background when the father son tashan happens. Oh looks super worried.
I think Naksh 's equal partnership is more visible with Child Naksh. Like they use to be a perfect team. Something that was not as visible in his teenage years
I attribute it partly to Bhabhima fiasco
Yes, Naksh was in late teens, but it wouldn't hurt to show parents as a joint team. Then maybe OG Akshara is a weak mother. Nope, She was somewhat normal with Naira. It is only her Duggu(Hey, why didn't Naira get a nickname?) she spoils.
They were able to regain their partnership right from the time Naksh left for India. I think they even have this conversation about how they did make some mistakes with Naksh's parenting.
And also she felt somewhat insecure about Naksh and Sanju's friendship. Which could have been cute for others but just didn't like it much.
And her whole sad life in cape town missing the joint family was OK. But sometimes they strech it.
Also Maybe Hina Khan was just too young to play mother of a 20 something guy. So she just didn't feel that motherly. She could have been passed of the elder sister of Naksh.
The whole Naagin dance fiasco could have been made much less dramatic if she was capable. She could have laughed at the silliness of it but when Naithik goes to punish Naksh, she could have supported the punishment because he lied. And many times, I just couldn't connect to OG Akshara. She just felt too stupid to me.
That's it.
The point I am trying to make is that Naksh were not perfect as parent. They were a team most of the time, while they did fumble other times. Like Naitik with Naksh and Akshara with Naira.
But they always reliaze their mistakes and try to learn from them
