Yes and that's why people there are protesting everyday. They are fed up of immigrants and voting for right wing govts now to preserve their own culture.

Trump ran a very vicious anti-immigrant campaign about how Mexico was sending its r*pists to the US. Neither did he make a Mexican wall, nor his successors took his racist policies seriously.

There are various reasons why people choose to risk their lives and families to seek asylum through arduous means. Sometimes because countries have complicated migration policies that might take years even during humanitarian crises. Immigration is a very complicated and sensitive topic. And it requires dialogue and reform so that people do not need to do this.

Not everyone who seeks asylum like this is a criminal. That is literally a dog-whistle used by Neo-Nazis

Of course this needs a proper dialogue, but tell me why would citizens of first world countries want to have third world snatching their jobs? Won't they protest? If it was upto me, I would open borders tomorrow and migrate to some European country (but if borders are opened for everyone, would they even remain as beautiful and peaceful as they are now? 😂)

Which countries do you think are full of terrorists? Mexico? France? Australia, Argentina?

If you think the backward areas of India aren't misogynist, patriarchal and communal in their thinking, then I think u don't live here. These men when they go abroad, since they are less in number, they behave themselves. But when they form a gang there, they start harassing women there as well. Have seen lot of cases like that on Twitter. Do these people need to be given a free pass to go to other countries and continue this? There is a reason why they need your education, your background check and your economic condition to give you visa. Not saying ppl with these won't do crimes, but chances are less as compared to some chhapris we have here.

Again, I am not downplaying the "majboor" and "genuine nice and poor" person. But they need a filter to protect their county.
