I am yet to being watch this week's episode because id various reasons. But from the news etc Nastik is going ditto as i expected. 
Basically Nastik did whatever they couldn't with SPMB. 
Nastik always wanted to use the core plot of MB and write whatever story they want to around it. Since its Fiction no eyeballs.
Show ke start se I am saying they will show the Neil angle very less (Very disappointed with the calibre of actor Mohit Is. 
) and they did. VH was very important if they wanted to show his importance and not just Yuvika's partner/assistant/guide.
Even if they want to show Neil improtance in war they missed out on a massive chunk. Almost 1/3 rd.
This is classic ITV, if anyone is watching for long time will agree.
This is why Vanshaj is a story of Yuvika a female Character resembling the Pandavas. If it was a male character the focus would eventually move to be on the partner/support who would be a female character. Because ITV can't make a male focused show. And then that won't be a story of Vanshaj resembling the MB.
The show is still very good to me but the characterization is could be miles better although it's consistent. Or maybe Its very tough to disappoint me.
Only 3 shows have managed that till now in more than a decade.
Nastik fulfilled thier eternal Fantasy.
Build a show around MB plotlines but fictional so that they can show whatever they want. They made original MB first and using that experience made this.

In drawing parallel with MB, they are ruining the story more.
Neil ke regarding to chalo meri expectations kab ki Jaa chuki hai
but what about the overall story. From past 2 weeks, there is no flow, no consistency, characters are suddenly switching and what not. Yesterday's episode was so meh despite such a big event and tragedy, it was looking they want to just end the episode.
