I don't think it's any such thing, in the best actor actresses end yr review, they gave wahaj plenty of credit as murtasim and that he owned the show while they said yumna as meerub was problematic and didn't mention her in the category which as you can imagine opened a whole can of worms in the form of toxic yumna fd. They were probably just balancing it out in today's review.

You know you could be right. This doesn't sound like the shading they did to actors when they didn't give them interviews (like Sajal or Bilal). The words and the tone seem much more insidious. It is not making comments about his performance in a specific role but shading his stardom (how it's in freefall), acting ability and talent, commitment and professionalism. Lagta hai kuch bada phadda hua hai behind the scenes. I think not an episode goes by this week jis mai Whaj pe shade directly ya indirectly na aya ho

Yes. I get this feeling too. It is saying things like the whole series of 4-5 dramas he did after Tere Bin were all sooo bad (did he even do that many shows after TB?). How all his performances in all his dramas after Tere Bin are the same - they even said he is like Danish Taimoor but for bechara roles (how are murtasim, junaid, saad, zaid, daniyal or asad same i fail to understand). How Yumna was more responsible for the chemistry in Tere Bin (hmmmm). How playing an alpha like Murtasim is so easy (hmmm). His lack of effort and interest in playing Zaid which tbh implies his unprofessionalism and lack of respect for his job (okkkk). How he has not been able to sustain his stardom (bit too early to say but okkk), etc.

What i found hilarious in this episode was how many minutes they spent trying to explain why Yumna is not in the list but how is she still a great actor. Bechare Yumna or TB fans se darr gaye. Phir all those extra minutes they discussed if Wahaj is on list for Murtasim toh Yumna ko bhi hona chahiye for Meerab. Because Murtasim role had more margin to perform but Meerab role didn't, so Yumna shouldn't be penalized for a weakly written character. Bhai, aisa to har drama mai hota hai. Some roles have more margin to perform and are meatier than others in the same drama. Thant doesn't mean you give pity nom to the actor because they were in a role that was poorly written.
