Me, too, I liked Mihir very much and wrote about him. He now is working in a movie with Kajol (if my info is correct). He's also one who should have got more attention in the reviews...actually, all seven should have.
Yes, I also think that a small webseries would have had more time to explore the characters of the youngsters' group...it was a bit crammed.
When I watched it with the kids, from time to time we made a stop (the youngest couldn't read the German subtitles as quickly as his older siblings) and talked about what we had seen and noticed. They, btw., liked the movie very much and didn't criticize the performances...(they didn't know one of the youngster-actors and I hadn't told them who they are, but they recognized Suhana who they know from photos...and the eldest recognized "Suri's friend").
For this reason a webseries would've appealed to teens..they get to stop, notice and think. They could've related more.
Even in the comics Archies used to take up issues..sometimes helping those in need, doing something for environment, helping a classmate deal with issues. Makers had readymade stuff in those stories. So could easily have been n episodic.
But seems like since it was a Launchpad they wanted something grander, on a bigger scale..or Zoya just wanted to get done with it and wasn't in for a longer haul
