They said it in the beginning of their video as I said I don't know them personally like you do, I was just commenting on the video you have shared, at least watch what you are sharing with us.

On the other hand, You are dismissing Dhruv Rathi and Pratik guy in your every post.

@red - How does one know to what extent a movie can influence someone? Is it limited to repeating a few dialogues or actually validates their thought process?

For example - Vanga went on record to say that there's no love without domestic violence so Kabir slapping Preity and Vijay abusing Geetanjali or Geetanjali slapping Vijay is actually presented as what people do when they are in "love" and I see many people who support this thought process

The director is accepting it but you want us to believe that movie doesn't celebrate or glorify the character when it is clearly not the case.

Anyways, the discussion is futile because you'll continue denying what was shown in the movie or what is there in fan reactions or views of critics.

So this will be my last reply to you.

Excuse me? if you didn’t even want a discussion why open a thread? To rub ur opinions in? I speak everyone shut up and listen …sounds fair 😂

I have watched the video which is why I posted it …they were being sarcastic when they called themselves fanboys or Dalals of ranbir coz that’s what they were labelled when they posted a positive review of the film …seems like sarcasm is a lost concept on some

…ur basic af assumption that imitation of a mannerism or dialogue means ppl will behave as toxically …is what I responded to …saying villains have been imitated in pop culture despite lack of so called glorification. If something works cinematically it’s only natural to be imitated as a pop culture reference ….ur extrapolating it to “people will treat the women in their life badly as a result or become violent” is what I was debating against….it’s a gross exaggeration and assumes absolute dumbness on the audiences part while putting urself on some self created intellectual and moral pedestal…ppl can discern …thanks

And again, way to grossly over extrapolate ….the director made a problematic statement that the liberty to slap is an expression of love and there is no love otherwise ….he didn’t say “domestic violence” or use that term…domestic violence encompasses a whole heap of other things incl everything from a slap to marital rape which ur basically assuming he’s endorsing based on the slap statement

And how hard is it to grasp that a director can have views that are independent to his film? ….rajamouli is an atheist and yet makes films with a lot of Hindu god imagery and iconography coz he thinks it works cinematically and for story telling …. …I don’t judge him by I think his agenda is…I judge it by what I see …

Yeh I didn’t label Dhruv as a hater …I said he was also criticised for virtue signalling and mansplaining to the larger audience …unlike u who labelled those guys as “fanboysssss”

Suit urself …no one’s forcing u to reply to anything ✌️

We did discuss but you keep doing @bold

I already told you that they said they are Ranbir fans in the video you have shared but you continue claiming that I am labeling them and then after 4-5 replies on same thing, you claim that no discussion took place

How am I supposed to keep track of your imagination?

Yeh it’s called sarcasm …they called themselves ranbir Dalals as a joke because that’s what they were labellled as after a positive review and that’s what they were responding to 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

The thing is that this character doesnt even do that, the movie is no masterpiece with connecting plot lines for every character.

Vijay is doing things for sake of it, the screenplay is written to excite the lowest common denominator

I am using it as a screening process

"Don't date guys who like Animal"

I have no clue why you are being harshly judged over your comment. I totally understand why you are wary when there are few guys who are cheering in the theatre over the misogynistic scenes shown in Animal and look at the main character as a hero. It is your life you have every right to make sure you're dating the right guy for you.

And hallelujah for balance

https://youtu.be/hloirMHtA4Y?si=4GZgFs1BEBFv3IJx

- case in point the whistles and cheers baazigar got when srk threw shilpa off a building

- case also in point, the hooting in gangs of wassepur when manoj cheats on his wife

Responding to cinema or cinematic expression is not the same as real life moral values or behavior
